| 27-5-2009 - It\'s all good... | My mood while writing this blog:Happy! |
On Sunday, May 24, I began spotting around 6pm. In the middle of the night I got up to use the bathroom and had a large gush or bright red blood. Because of the holiday weekend I couldn't get in to see my OB and we didn't want to do the ER thing...I figured I was losing the baby and there was nothing they could do anyway. I continued to spot red all day Monday. On Tuesday teh spotting turned to brown, only when I would wipe and by today everything was over! I never had much cramping...any I did have seemed more like gas than anything (which has been a constant during this pregnancy for me-ugh!). I had an ultrasound done today and everything is just fine with our little one! Measuring a day ahead (8 weeks 4 days) and had a heartrate of 165. I am putting up our picture-you can see the baby's little arms :). I am so relieved!
The doctor believes the bleeding is due to sex (we had had sex the day before the spotting started) and that my cervix is just very sensitive this time around (I also had some slight brown spotting after sex at 6 weeks 1 day and went in and saw a heartbeat). She see's no other reason for the bleeding. She has recommended that we have no sex (no problem...I'm terrified now!) until my next appointment on June 15th. Then it's up to us although she said it is likely this couls happen again. Andy looked at me and then at the doctor and just said, "I have a feeling this is going to be a long 8 months!" I think he may be right!
Thanks to all your prayers! Just had to share the good news!
