My mood while writing this blog: wierded out! |
Ok...my nips are changing in ways I wish I had never noticed. My boobs are curently lopsided! One is bigger then the other and the nipple in bigger and darker then the other! meep!?
A question, If I breastfeed will then stay dark and large? Will they sag. I'm very small chested but still...and yes yuo martyrs for the cause of mothrehood, I am indeed asking this question and yes, my body does matter to me ....
Please no snotty responses... Next question, I live ina studio apartment that is TINY with no chance of moving for quite a while. would it be wrong to put the newborn to sleep in a pack n' play since we have to economize on space and money?

Monday, 15 Jun Hey pet, How are you doin? Yes, breastfeeding and pregnancy make your boobs (or for us unlucky ones) kind of .... different! Mine are kind of the same as pre-pregnancy, except they have the pale kind of stretchmarks on them and aren't AS perky, but still young enough looking that I don't feel TOO bad about them! It definitely is pregnancy that changed them for me, but then breastfeeding, when you start first, you get engorged -- ENGORGED (it deserves capitals!) -- and then emptied, of course, by two hungry babies (in my case!, and maybe yours eh?!) and so I found that the filling/emptying, filling/emptying process did make a difference to my boobs 'elasticity' etc. But it is worth it. To be able to breastfeed, even for a short time, was so satisfying for me. it is lovely knowing you baby/babies are feeding from you and getting what they need and that YOU are the one and only who provides it for them. It also -- in case you didn;'t know -- makes your uterus go back to its original state and size MUCH quicker, and helps you lose the pregnancy-weight. If you have skin that stretches well, you might be lucky -- if you didn;t get stretch marks during puberty etc, you may be less likely to get them during pregnancy/breastfeeding etc. Remember though, it is a wonderful bond to share wth your babies/baby, and it's something you'd always remember. But at the end of the day, it is entirely up to you and what you are comfortable with. xxxx aprilraine -
Monday, 15 Jun I breastfed ( and currently am) both times they got bigger and darker during pregnancy and then about 2 months after the babies were born they went back to the same size and colour as pre-pregnancy. Breastfeeding doesn't make your breasts sag as some may think.. pregnancy does. It's usually genetic, so if your ma, or women on your dads side have saggy ta-ta's, there's a good chance you will too, whether you BF or not. My mom BF all 6 of her children for 2 years each and she's still perky! As for the pack and play question, My daughter slept in one until we got her a toddler bed at 14 months. There really isn't a need to get a crib or basinette (most pack-n-play's have a built in basinette which is GREAT for newborns) and they can be folded up and carted around. I loved mine. :)
