| 23-6-2009 - Cloth Diapers... |
My mood while writing this blog: curious |
I am currently looking into cloth diapering. I really like the Fuzzibunz.
I'm not really afraid of poop or the idea of the laundry so i think it will be a great option for me, especially since you get to save so much moolah!
Anybody have any experiance with cloth diapers and fuzzinbunz in particular?
I was also interested in the infant pottytraining..... it seems pretty cool that babies go potty in the potty!
Again, any ideas, or comments then be my guest and I'm really looking foard to hearing from the more experienced mommies!

Tuesday, 23 Jun Welcome to the minority of the diapering world :) I am currently using a cloth diaper service in our area. I love it! They come once a week to pick up the dirty & drop off the clean. We thought before she was born we would use disposables when we went on a day trip, but we've found cloth to be just as easy and quick to change - it just took us a few days to really get the hang of them :) LOL Jaina is almost five months and has not had a diaper rash; I think the cloth diaps are amazing and I would suggest them to anyone! And EC sounds really cool - Good Luck! MelissaJoanne -
Tuesday, 23 Jun I've used cloth diapers, and my 8 month old is mostly diaper-free now. We do elimination communication (at the risk of mincing words, what we do isn't 'infant potty-training' because there is really no training involved, and I never use the word potty) :-p It's very cool. Not that it's horrible to deal with your own child's diaper, but it is WAY more fun to clean waste out of a little toilet, and cleaner for baby too, of course. :-)
We have used gDiaper pants with an organic cotton pre-fold, and overnight I put a fleece doubler (I made them myself very easily) over the cotton, to wick the moisture a little better. We still use those overnight (though not for much longer, probably), or for long car trips.
Other than that, she uses her toilet. She's getting better about getting up to use it overnight too. We use maybe 1-4 diapers a day (we've have a few more misses since she became mobile, and forgets that she needs to go!)
I like this website: http://www.naturalbirthandbabycare.com/elimination-communication.html
and can also answer whatever questions or give you more detailed info about what we did, if you like. :-)
