02-7-2009 - I told my parents...

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

The day brfore yesterday I spent the day with my parents..I havn't spoken to them in forever and was rather apprehensive because I didn't know how they would take the news...

The day started at breakfast with the confirmation that NO I am not a virgin anymore...

then at around lunchtime I explained that I was willing to start a family and would god willing, have a family started at the begining of the new year....all the while dening my pregnancy.

Then at dinner I confirmed it and my mom started crying....but I dont think in a bad way. I explained that I was on the top of my game and that I would still be going to college, and all she said ws "Im just worried about your health since you're so little...how can you have this baby safely."

My stepdad was all quiet and refused to talk to me over dinner. My mom had a word with him and then took me aside and explained that my little brother was doing alot of stupid shit on the excuse that "Lio did it, so I can too." Hes already having sex and has gotten his girlfriend of 5 months pregnant but she had a miscarrage. My mom doesn't know about that but she doesn't want my lil bro to think that getting his girl pregnant is ok, because I got pregnant. I explained to him that 1. having a baby is NO joke. 2. I have a job and a means to support myself along with a boyfriend that is not afraid to work to do what he has to do for us. My brother quit his jobbecause he said it was BORING! In the end, I felt they had a reason to worry since his girlfriend comes from money and while we're not poor...we're not rich either. I'm gonna have to have a talk with him....
