I must admit that I am finally feeling uncomfortable. I feel like I am walking around with a ball between my legs and after wondering for so long if this baby would come early like my last two I have decided to just live each day as it comes.
Two of my girls had netball games yesterday afternoon and after standing for over 2 hours whilst trying to stop my two little boys from rolling a ball onto the court and then chasing it onto the court and stopping the game while I waddled over to remove them, I realised that speed and mobility had finally left me. After the games we headed back to the van, I couldn't lift my leg high enough to get in. It must have looked hilarious to onlookers. I ended up having to lift my leg with my hands but even that wasn't easy over my bump. Oh, the things we do for our kids but I wouldn't have missed their game if you paid me.
I got a call this morning to say that my heat pump has finally arrived and will be delivered mid day today ( at least something will be delivered today if not my baby) I feel a huge sense of relief as I was concerned that baby was going to be born into a somewhat cold house after our other heat pump died on us. Maybe baby will be happy to come out now.
Today is cold but clear sunny skies. It would be a great day to take a walk. Maybe when my hubby comes home we will take a walk around the Panmure basin. It will take me about an hour but it's not too hard a walk and I did it the day before I had my last baby.
Here is my latest belly shot + again I have added a picture of me the day before I had my last baby. He weighed 7lb10. I think I am looking way bigger now so it will be interesting to see. Looks can be deceiving:

My doctor prodded around my belly today (I've asked not to get checked, citing that they don't do it in NZ and have better birth success than we do! thanks). She proclaimed that our kiddo is at LEAST 8 lbs. She said it like she was scared for me. So I reassured her that Shawn was 8.5 and I was 9.5 and both our moms ha

You are definitely bigger this time around... I had my midwife appointment today... she said the cervix was still thick and unfavorable. She said that the baby is already 9 pounds and because my last one was delivered in the car she wants to have the baby by Sunday. So what she did is , she manually soften the cervix for a couple of minutes by massaging it or whatever she did there I don't know. But she said by doing so, she almost got it effaced and very soft. Hopefully that will get things going. The idea is to have a full effacement before you go into labor as it is much easier and I guess less painful. Also she said to put 5 softgels of primrose oil inside today....
Till probably the last week I was o'k, but now I am getting uncomfortable too.... so I guess it's an indication that time is up....
I know that your midwife does not check you... but would you want to know of any progress...???
