21-5-2008 - 40+WEEKS UPDATE

My mood while writing this blog:
GETTING THERE...

First of all my darlings... I am still in one piece, sad, but true...how long I will be like this, still remains to be seen.

I was admitted into hospital on the 19th because of high bp and I have been contracting regularly, although not painfully, (bh contractions) for the last two weeks, they have been getting stronger though, I think once this labour does happen I will go pretty quickly..

I went home late last night, and have been out all today, so sorry I haven't been on to give you guys an update. There are 41 comments on my profile and I really can't answer all of them one by one, so I thought I would give you all an update in my blog to let you know how things are.

I had an appointment with my doctor today, and he did a really good stretch and sweep, I have been having stronger contractions, but they are very much irregular atm, hopefully it won't be too much longer.

They do not induce a woman that has had as many babies as me, as the uterus can be overstimulated, causing it to rupture, not that it would happen, but my doctor does not want to go down that road.

When I am 41 weeks and I my internal os (inside of the cervix), at the top is not so firm, he will simply break my waters to get me going..

I have been very tired with all these contractions, and being woken at night by them and the little ones, hopefully my little baby will grace us with her presence soon.

Hey, she is a typical girl, can't decide what to wear, and wants to make an entrance!!lol!!

To all my friends, I love you all, and will not be on much until she is born, it just makes it hard to see other mum's due at the same time or before me go first and I am still waiting here, I am sure you all can understand that. Don't worry though, I will post up pics and story once she arrives.

ah my sweetheart, I'm so sorry to hear you were laid up in the hospital! I saw the lack of movement on your page, and thought you might have gone in to have little Eden... I guess hope springs eternal, but no such luck. I am officially on my 2nd day of Maternity Leave! I can't believe it is just off 3 weeks until my little angel appears... at least I hope so!! At least rest assured that by the time my little boy is ready to go, your Eden will have been here for a while yet! I agree - she is being a typical girl! Fashionably late! Nonetheless, what a joy she will be when she is here! Be strong, and rest as much as you can. I sympathise with your BH coming all the time like that. I had half a day like that back at about 29 weeks, and I was in tears and exhausted. You're an amazing, strong woman. You're in my thoughts every day (even if I'm not on here) and I hope all this positive thought from the women around you on here will help little Eden realise that it can actually be fun out here and she should check it out!

Officially finishing the nursery today and I am THRILLED. Had a dinner "party" last night, so was on my feet cooking from about noon yesterday (explains why my back is so sore today!), but was a roaring success, and had the formal hanging of the paintings from our friend in the UK. They are so beautiful!!! I will post up photo's early next week probably.

AWWW I am so sorry you are still prego. I can't even imagine how you must feel. I understand that you won't be on much, but please know I will be thinking of you everyday. I will miss you! Try to stay positive and know that you are so loved!

Honey, Im glad you are out of hospital and Im thinking of you. I just know your turn will come soon. I know how difficult it must be hearing of other people going into labour when you want to go into labour yourself. Just remember to jump online anytime if you need to chat with me..... Im here, and there is no worry about me suddenly having a baby im only 26 weeks, Ive got ages to hang around on here!!!! lol
