22-7-2008 - Elliot's Birth Story!

July 16th, 2008..It was any other day..quinn had gone to work and i had gone to my grandmothers for the night while quinn was working so im not alone in case i go into labor. The 16th turned into the 17th and i couldnt believe it was my due date already! I was excited but had a feeling he wasnt going to come..cause really what baby actually comes on their due date? So its about 1:30 in the morning or so and quinn calls and lets me know hes on his way to come get me. So we get home and we hang out for a little bit and go to bed. We decided that we would have sex first because i wanted to just have him..and of course everyone says have sex..we had tried it a week before or so and nothing...so i figured it wouldnt work this time..BOY WAS I WRONG! we got done and we cuddled and started to go to bed when all of a sudden i felt a trickle..then i started feeling contractions (i hadnt gotten any contractions at all yet so this was the first time) after about having 3 of them i said to quinn i think we got what we wanted. He turned over and looked at me and said oh thats what that feeling on your stomach was? My contractions were coming 3 minutes apart and last 45 seconds...so i called the hospital and the doctor called me and asked me a bunch of questions and said oh just take a bath and if they stay the same or get worse call back. I think she thought i didnt know what i was talking about because it was my first pregnancy but i clearly knew i was in labor because i took a bath for about 30 minutes and they got A LOT stronger. So i waited about a half our and quinn told me i really need to call back so he did and they said ok we will have the doctor call you..well the stupid biotch never called! As if! so we said screw it and just went to the hospital. So i went up to labor and deliver got there about a little after 6 A.M. They hooked me up to the monitors and checked me i was 5 cm and 100%..i was very shocked. So obv they kept me and moved me over to a delivery room. Where they kept me on the monitors for an hour! Because they couldnt get a good heartbeat rate. That sucked..i was sitting on the labor ball with these monitors when all i wanted to do was go in the tub. But i had to wait..so after that i laid in the bed and they checked me before i could go into the tub..i was now at 6 cm. So she asked me if i wanted to go into the tub now or just wanted pain relief..i said just give me the meds! lol..so they gave me some stuff threw the i.v and it made me relaxed and really tired. But threw the dozing i kept saying its not working. But everyone kept saying it is working. For a few minutes it felt better but then my contractions kept coming closer..everything is such a blur during this part from the meds. But i remember asking for an epirdural because it hurt so bad and i was just screaming. So she ordered for the epidural..Now when my contractions were coming i needed to push! and im begging for the epidural before it was to late..but it was to late i was 9 cm and needing to push..so i sat on the toilet thinking i was going to poop..after a few minutes of that i said hes coming out..the doctor told me i need to get off the toilet so she could deliver him so i got off and went and sat on a birthing stool and pushed a couple big pushes and he was born at 10:01 A.M on july 17th. Weighing 8 lbs 3.6 oz and 21 inches long.

hyyy!! heh jus read ur birth sotry!! awww yu naly had him on the toilet!!! lol
its a horrile feeling of needing to poo int it!!
i hade hadn properly(the 1st baby tht died jus afta birth) nd istil ws moanin i needed to poo lol
hope ur lil mans all gud nyway bbe!! congratzzz!! nd i wnna see a pic!! lol
