| 28-9-2011 - Bed Rest | My mood while writing this blog:Alright For now |
Hi girls,
My mom got into a serious car accident last week, and since then I've been having issues with my blood pressure. I monitored it over the weekend and it was running a steady 140 something/78-ish. So I was at work Monday morning and I just didn't feel right, like I knew something was up. Called my doc's office, told them I wanted a b/p check, they scheduled me in and my doc took me in right away and did all the tests himself! (I have the best doctor ever!!!) He said he's doing a pre-eclampsia work-up. So on top of getting labs done and peeing in a cup, which came back with protein in my urine, I had to do a 24hr urine test. My doctor called me yesterday evening around 6pm to tell me all my labs came back normal, which was great and that he was just waiting on my results from my urinalysis. Well he never called me back last night. I had the worst sleep ever, finally fell asleep around 1am, woke up at 2:30, 4, and again at 5am, and just said screw it and just got up.
I went to the bathroom and it looked like I was starting my period, blood in the toilet. The hemorrhoids had apparently broken a blood vessel. Plus my hands and arms hurt from the damn carpel tunnel, so I called the on-call doc. Didn't like the doc so I figured I'd just talk to my doc today, I already had an appt scheduled for 1:30pm. I ate breakfast, brought my step-daughter to school so hubby could sleep in a little, got back into bed around 7:30 and sure enough I took a deep breath, my phone rings, it's my doctor. Apparently the on-call doctor (the one I don't like) was supposed to call me last night but she never did, so my doc was pissed to say the least. He said my 24hr urine came back with a high protein level, and he wants me to come into the office right away. BEFORE office hours even opened. So I woke up hubby, he got Michael dressed & ready to go, I took a shower & out the door we went. He took me in right away, did an internal, checked fetal heartbeat, check my hemorrhoids b/c I told him I was afraid of hemmoraging, he said I wouldn't but that I'm swollen EVERYWHERE, if you could see me I look like one big over-weight butterball, I have fluid in places I didn't know could retain fluid. He sent me for an ultrasound, which was awesome b/c I've never had a 3rd tripmester ultrasound before. Right away you saw his little heart beating, and his ribs moving, he was breathing! Amazing!!!!!!! Couldn't get any pics tho b/c she said he was very low, she said he was in a great position to be born in, not in a good position to take pictures. lol I said I'd rather his position be good, I'll meet him soon enough. And Thomas scored an 8 out of 8 for his biophysical profile, which was awesome, he's ready to come out!!!!!
So I had to take the report back to my doc's down the street, took me in right away again. Because baby was doing so well, doc put me on scrict bedrest til Friday. I go into L&D Friday night to get induced and Baby Tommy will be here sometime on Saturday! I'll be exactly 37wks then. Boy am I freaking out. I went through the same exact thing with Michael 2-1/2 years ago. I hate the fact that my body doesn't like being pregnant...I'll blame it on the PCOS.
The next time I'll blog I'll officially be a new mother of 2 little boys!!!!!! Can't wait! :oP
