14-11-2008 - 5 Month Doc Appt

My mood while writing this blog: OK

So, yesterday I got out of work early WOOHOO. Went to my doctor's appt and got called in right away. EVEN BETTER! Got on the scale, and wanted to walk right out! I've gained........34lbs so far. O.M.F.G. So after that shock, she tells me I have to do my 1hr Glucose test at my next appt...OK no biggie, hopefully I won't gag & throw it up like last time. B/P is 122/67. Phew, so now we're waiting in the room, it was hubby, my mom, and myself, and my doc comes in. Now, I have a rented fetal doppler at home, which I conveniently forgot to mention to her last time, so I mentioned it this time because I had a simple question regarding fetal heatbeat. OOOO was she mad! She turned to my husband and said "Tell your wife to return that thing!" My face got immediately red with anger, she was ignoring my question, and when I asked it again, she again told me to return it. WTF So there goes my question about my baby. She checked his heartbeat with the doppler and said it's good, around 140. She listened for like 2 seconds!!! GRRRRR But on a good note, my ultrasound from October showed him being perfect, and they are NOT going to change my due date, YESSA, but I do have to go back this coming Thursday the 20th, for another ultrasound because my little man was no cooperating too well in regards to getting pictures of his heart, so I can see him again :oP I also asked her a bunch of other questions that she was very happy to answer, but my goodness, she knows I lost my girls last year and everything that happened, you'd think she's be a little bit more understanding. So my next doc appt is December 11th...I'll be 26-1/2 weeks :oP
