15-1-2009 - 31 Week Doc Appt.

My mood while writing this blog: Good!

So yesterday was yet another doctor's appointment. I love this in-&-out thing I got going on. So far (Knock on wood) there have been no complications with this pregnancy, so I can literally be there for like 5 minutes, and out the door I go. Well my doctor is on vacation this week, so I saw the covering doc. OMGosh he was sooooooo nice! I was so happy to actually be able to talk to a doctor without the feeling of being rushed and just blown off with my questions. He starts off with appologizing because we had to wait so long (almost an hour!) and then he goes on to talk about my last pregnancy with the triplets, how sorry he was to hear, and a bunch of other stuff. So this means he actually took the time to look through my chart! I'm already impressed! lol 2 weeks ago, I had my appointment for the follow-up to my car accident. I had high blood pressure, symptoms of a UTI, and had gained a few more pounds. As of yesterday, my BP was 124/66, I've been feeling pretty good, and ::drumroll please:: I had gained Z.E.R.O. pounds. That's right. I'm soooooooo excited! Granted I'm up like 44lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight, but woohoo! lol lol The thing that got me stumped is that the nurse that took my vitals said my due date was March 12th.....ummmmm no, the 14th, but whatever, he'll come when he's ready.

So this doctor takes the measuring tape and Bobby's looking at him like WTH? because he hasn't seen this done before, and I'm measuring perfectly for my due date, and Michael's heartrate was very loud and strong. So then he helps me sit up, and says once we get ourselves situated, meet him in his office in the next room over. ????? I have NEVER sat in a doctor's actual office before. So he's going through his computer checking my chart again, and we're talking about labor and delivery and amnio abt lung development and steriod shots & on & on & on. I look over and hubby is just sitting there trying not to laugh. I'm like what, and he just smiles and says "my little doctor." So then all 3 of us are laughing. I left feeling like it was the best doc appt yet, there was communication between us and the doctor, and my questions got answered. Yessah! So now off to my next appt, which is Jan. 30th.
