My mood while writing this blog: Scared Out Of My Mind! |
Hi Girls,
Yesterday was my weekly appt. They have me at 38wks today, instead of 37wks 5days, so now I'm 2 days ahead. I get called in by the nurse, and she's shocked by how mcuh weight I've gained since I was last there...9Lbs. I told her it was all fluid, b/c my appetite has actually decreased, and I showed her my feet, b/c now my flip flops are now cutting into my poor feet and starting to cause sores. Her mouth dropped to the floor, & she immediately took my blood pressure...140/90. She says that's not good, and brings me to my room. My doctor comes in and she's very concerned. She checks me or dilation, 1cm!!!!! Yay! But then says she's not going to bother checking the heartbeat, I'm going right over to L&D to get monitored. So for the 3rd time this year so far, I'm back in the hospital. Baby was doing great, and my BP really didn't come down too much, then it went back up! I was having BH after BH and was very uncomfortable, but they took 5 tubes of blood, and all came back good.
So 3 hours later my nurse says I'm getting discharged. My doctor told us that I'm going to be doing a 24-hr urine, started this morning, and if that comes back with a protein level of over 300, then I'm being induced Saturday. Now I'm trying not to cry, I'm seriously freaking out. This is all happening so fast and I'm scared for my baby, even tho I know he's OK. My doc is affraid I'll get seizures. When I was discharged, by BP was 150/90. So I finish the urine test tomorrow morning, and by the afternoon, I'll know if I'll have to deliver this Saturday. The fact that I might be a mother in 2 days is still hard for me to grasp.
Sorry for the rant, I'm freaking out over here!!!!!! I hope you girls are doing well. I'll talk to you soon :o)

Thursday, 26 Feb You're not the only one freaking out. My OB wants to deliver me and is just waiting for the blessing of my specialty doc. I'm praying it comes soon because I am so sick of being in the hospital (over 6 weeks now), but I'm freaked my baby could be delivered tomorrow. At least we are on the roller coaster together. I'll be thinking of you and wishing you all the best! DulcianasMom -
Thursday, 26 Feb Try not not freak out sweetie! I know this is all coming at you so sudden but if you go into your appointment today and they BP is still really high and the urine doesnt look good, i would demand to be induced. You dont want to risk your health or the health of the baby! GOOD LUCK and God Bless you!!! ((((HUGS)))) Pamcakes311 -

Thursday, 26 Feb Please try to relax woman! They're just taking all precautionary measures to make sure everything is ok. But you're full term anyways! Woohoo! It would be exciting to have him in 2 days but also I know you were specific on the dates you wanted him to come so hopefully they can wait it out! Can't wait to hear your results! Becs -
Thursday, 26 Feb Oh wow!! I can understand why you're having a hard time getting over that shock! 2 days?! Well as the lady below wrote, try to relax. Put your feet up + watch some boring daytime TV! You'll be 38 weeks in a couple of days, which is very much full term so little baby won't be too annoyed about leaving his snuggly home for the last 9 months! I hope that you get the news that you're hoping for. Good luck and let us know what the Drs decide! xxx dhames33 -
Thursday, 26 Feb OMG! What a day for you! I'll be thinking of you!
Just remember to try and relax. Anxiety also puts your BP up. I hope your tests come back so you don't have to be induced. But on the positive note... your lil one could be here in 2 DAYS!!!!!!!!! How exciting!!!!!!
