| 17-4-2009 - 6-Week Post Pardum Appt | My mood while writing this blog:Blah |
Yesterday was my 6-wk appt and what a fiasco!!! OK, so it starts in the waiting room. I'm sitting there watching the TV and Michael starts to whine. So do I try to calm him down to stall for the bottle, or try to give it to him while I wait? As I'm asking myself this, he starts screaming. So I'm giving him his bottle and right before he could take the last of it, I get called in. So I carry him down the hall, bottle in hand, carseat with my pocketbook in the other, and he's screaming all the way. So I finish feeding him, burp him, all is well, and he starts screaming again. Now the nurse is asking me questions and weighing me, and he got so worked up that he threw up everywhere. :sigh: So I try to clean him up, and out with the 2nd bib and 2nd bottle. So I'm giving him more formula, she take my BP and it's 140/100. So clearly my pre-eclampsia has not cleared up yet. So off to my exam room I go, and again he starts freaking out. So I'm in the room and again, he throws up everywhere, just more this time. :sigh: (Why did I come here alone? lol) So again I clean him up as much as I can, outfit ruined and all, and I start to undress from the waist down. Again, he starts screaming. He doesn't want his bottle, he doesn't want his binky, so I have him over my shoulder, ass naked, trying to console him. I jump up on the table and try to place the mini sheet they give you as best as I can over me, covering whatever, with him still on my shoulder. My doctor comes in and she smiles from ear to ear, "he so adorable! I can't believe it's been 6 weeks already!" Yeah, who you tellin! lol So I lie back on the table with him on my belly still and she examines me with the baby on me. I was so scared she was going to tell me I was pregnant. My mother almost had me conveinced I was. UGH So good news I'm not. But I have to go back in 1 month to get my BP checked again. If it's still high, I need to be put on meds. Great. Now the baby is back sitting in his carseat looking around like nothing happened. Quiet and content. lol he's too much lol
And on a side note, I took him for a walk around the park today and he crapped everywhere, all over his outfit, a total explosion! Gotta love Mommyhood!!!!!!!!!!!!!
