20-7-2009 - Michael's 4-Month Appt.

My little man. What can I say. I'm so excited! OK His 4-month doctor's appt was this past Thursday. He weighs 15 pounds 9 ounces, 25-1/2 inches long. He has a little flattening on the back on his head, so he doesn't need to go to Children's Hospital in Boston to seen by a specialist, to be fitted for a helmet. I guess a lot of babies have problems with flattening because they recommend babies sleep on their backs as opposed to their tummies, because of SIDS. So anywho, his head will fix itself within the next few months, with a big head-growthspurt coming up between 4 and 6 months. He had his shots. Took it like a champ! I expected him to freak out, like he did at 2 months, holding his breath, turning red in the face. But nope! Just a little cry and he was good to go. We went to a birthday party yesterday, and he went in the pool for the first time. O did he enjoy the big bath tub! lol My sister went in with him, because I still look pregnant, I didn't dare put a bathing suit on ha ha but he enjoyed it very well. I've been putting him in his walker for the past 2 months, watching his legs get closer and closer to the ground. Now that they finally reach, he pushes and go backwards! Like hey, where are you going?!?! And his jumparoo, his ultimate favorite toy. He spends a lot of time in there, absolutely loves it! He still hates tummy time tho, I hope he outgrows it soon. I prop him up on the boppy pillow which he seems to be OK with a lot longer than going on his belly.
