28-2-2010 - Michael's 1st Birthday

My mood while writing this blog: excited

Feb. 28, 2009, 7:23pm weighing 6 pounds 12.5 ounces, 20 inches long...my baby boy Michael was born! A year later it's so hard to believe! I've been a mother now for a whole year, wow! Watching him develop into a new little person, once so dependant on me, and now he's so independant, it's so amazing. From eating his first puree veggies and fruits, to rolling over for the 1st time, crawling, then walking at 9 months, my little man sure has made quite an impression on everyone he meets. Big blue eyes and a gummy smile with his little teeth finally coming through, platinum blonde hair and the cutest little toes, he's such a sweet little boy and I'm so happy and excited he's mine! I created him and he is a part of me. I don't know how to explain it, but I'm happy and sad at the same time that he's now a year old. I loved him so much when he was born, going through the day today at different times thinking back at what was happeneing at that time a year ago. Seems like yesterday. I look forward now to the "toddler stage", where new words will form, the temper tantrums (that have already started!), to giving kisses and hugs and new exciting adventures. Michael's 1st year has been more than I could have ever imagined, and I look forward to many many more.
