Well I've made it to 17 weeks and it's been interesting :) No morning sickness or strange cravings which has been nice . Only things I've noticed is I have some extremly tired days and my sense of smell is heightened. I've gone through alot since I've found out I was pregnant but have made it thru with flying colors. I've lost my job and lost my home and had to move back with my parents , almost lost my boyfriend but thankfully that didn't happen ( he just freaked out a lil that we're having a baby but came back down to earth and is now excited :) and that makes me happy . He's been very supportive and wonderful even though he lives so far away from us at the moment. Funny cause I haven't really felt pregnant and I was actually scared that something was wrong , funny how it happens , you don't plan for a child and when you find out you're having one it's almost tragic but when you accept it then you immeditly love them. I've still not had an ultra sound but apparently in my area they don't normally do one untill you're 5 months and I'm not quite there yet . I had my first OBGYN appointment on March 13 and everything seemed fine , I was a little excited cause I thought I was going to get to hear the heartbeat but the doctor couldn't find it . BUT I went to my first midwives appointment 2 weeks later and we heard it loud and clear . Let me tell you that was pretty damn exciting , and strange to know there's a little person living inside you and growing everyday. Midwives say everything is going beautiful and I'm excatly where I should be . I've only gained 3lbs which is great too :) Apparently when you're of a thicker build you either gain alot of weight or less than normal because you've got "fat" for them to take from .. I say TAKE MY FAT BABY LOL !!! I've gone for my tripple marker tests and normal blood and am praying everything is ok . I've also decided that I don't want to know the sex of the baby because there are so few true surprises left in life and as long as he/she is healthy it doesn't really matter. I go for my next appointment with my Midwives on April 22 and am excited because I want to make sure my lil munchkin is ok and hear the heartbeat again . My boyfriend is making the trip from washington to be there and that really means alot to me. Hope all is well with all the mommies to be out there!!!
