They don\'t have an emoticon for FAT

So 28w5d today and I figure I'd best do an update... a lot has been happening, and if I don't write it down I'll never remember it... as in, I never remember ANYTHING anymore...

The pregnancy itself is going very well... Although I was on the phone to my mom and my aunt AND my aunts' boss (he's an OB/GYN in SA) today... I've been getting hectic Braxton Hicks for the last 2 days... even while sitting at my desk. Yesterday I counted 3 lasting about 2 minutes each within the space of 30 minutes. Anyway, given the family history, I'm not thrilled. my pelvis feels heavy and Kegel exercises are hard work, like they really don't want to be pulled up or tightened anymore - they want to OPEN and relax... Joy. Anyway the Doc reckons some of us are just more susceptible to feeling them than others and while it's perfectly normal, I should go and get my blood pressure and urine checked, and have a scan done to make sure everything's okay... I'll see how it goes tomorrow. I think a lot of it is baby freaking out with how I sit at work, because my chair SUCKS. He gets really uncomfortable and upset and balls himself into these hectically tight little balls either on the left, or as close to the top as he can squash himself. Anyway, my mom thinks I have an irritable womb, like she did, and is convinced he'll probably come at about 34 - 36 weeks, like I did. I really hope not, because I can't afford the time off work, and I want him to come out only when he's finished baking! I do not want my little angel to have ANY problems. So this has been my day... the BH have been so exhausting (not painful, just uncomfortable) I'm shattered by 2:30 in the afternoon. Anyway, ENOUGH whining. God, if I go on like this, the end of this pregnancy is going to be REALLY fun LOL. Need to sleep and regrow my sense of humour.

Speaking of humour... I found my first belly stretch marks today. Oh Joy. Two lil purple suckers about a cm long each, on the underside where I couldn't see or didn't manage to hit with the cream... but they PERFECTLY intersect with my appendix scar, which is now about 3 times as long as it was... and now I look like I've got a lop-sided smiley under my belly... Hmmmmm - I should draw crazy eyeballs on it and take a pic!

Iiiiin other news, our nursery is coming along so beautifully, I'll post some pics when we're finished with it. The original theme was meant to be Aquatic, but I fell in love with a little rainforest mobile, so that's gone out the window lol. But the cotbed is up, and the moses basket is ready to go... there's so much I still want to get for it! I did manage to find some AMAZING baby room borders from this UK company which are completely repositionable and removable, which is great, because we're tenants and the walls are quite bland! So I'm having a hard time deciding which one to choose! We've also commissioned a friend of J's in the UK to paint us two pictures for the nursery - which should be awesome - the guys' got serious talent. When we get them, I'll take photo's and put em up so you can all see!

Other than that, all I'm doing is sleep sleep sleep, eat eat, EAT EAT EAT EAT EAT.... CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN........ *gah* lol. Oh, and snarl at people at work.

Anyway that's it for now... I should probably go get some work done!

OMG! You are 29 weeks already, yay!
I have so missed you, and I too have been thinking of you.
Truth is I have had a rough time of it lately with tears and depression, and not getting enough sleep with a wakeful child. Last night, Jaedon, was up to around 1am, in his room playing and he woke the littlest, so I brought Bailey, into his cot in my room and he went to sleep eventually, after calling Mummy and Daddy, it was so cute, he is only two. He woke several times during the night, due to dad's snoring, so up I got, with my huge pregnant belly and settled him off to sleep.
But, I can't complain, as the 3 nights before this episode, he slept right through the night.
I am getting a lot of pressure too in my pelvis, I am 34 weeks on Tuesday, and I have a lot of contractions, that are painful, with a pulling sensation on my cervix, they are not regular, but I have to breathe through them, just not as painful as labour contractions, I guess things happen earlier each time, the more babies you have.
The rate you are going, you will probably beat me to the delivery room, don't you dare, lol!!
I haven't packed my delivery or hospital bag yet, I have yet to buy some decent maternity bra's and a dressing gown, but there is still so much to buy. I have pics up of the Kingston Bassinette I bought just recently, it was only $196 so I was pleased with that, and I bought a beautiful pink baby carseat capsule for $78, which is good for a being new!
Getting more little pink outfits and by god they are sweet! I can't wait to dress her up in them, just like a little doll! hehehe.
Anyway sweetheart, take care of yourself, when are yo finishing up work?
Keep your legs crossed okay, lol!

I'm so envious of your progress on the nursery. My husband and I still haven't moved the stuff out of the old "office", which will be our new "nursery". We're tenants too, so I feel like we can't do too much to decorate the room. We'll see. The lovely ladies at my work are throwing a baby shower for me tomorrow. Maybe that'll give me some motivation to finish cleaning out the office. I hope everything goes well with the doc. The only time I notice my BH is when I'm really stressed out. Then, they become very frequent and uncomfortable. As long as I'm calm they're few and far between. I haven't felt my little guy kicking a lot today. I don't know if that's normal as I'm rapidly approaching 30 weeks, or what. Maybe he's just decided to take a nap as yesterday was quite a stressful day. In any case, I'm rambling now and feel like I've written too much. I hope all is well. :)

Hope you get some decent rest soon x You sound really tired x I work in a nursery and am on my feet all day and I remember vividly how tiring it all was when I got further on when pregnant with bethany, I would fall asleep on the couch as soon as I got in the door, It's no fun at all x Try and take a cat nap when you get home from work for an hour to take the edge off the fatigue x

Cant wait to see pics of the room, it sounds exciting :o) I dont have a theme as of yet as waiting to see whether its a boy or girl x catch up soonx
