23-6-2008 - Progress?

It's been a pretty rough weekend emotionally - I've had a really short fuse all weekend, have been paranoid, snappy, and quiet... and I'm sorry to say I think I've taken it out on Jay on and off all weekend, the poor guy.

Don't read on for the squeamish lol ;)

In any event, not really holding my breath, but I think I lost my mucus plug this morning... I can't be 100% sure, but when I went to the bathroom, there was somewhat of an audible "plop", I got up and there in the bottom of the bowl was this thick wad of mucus - looked nothing like the pic on this site, but was a mixture of thick white and opaque mucus...

Not getting my hopes up TOO much, as I know this can happen days or weeks before labour, but dare I hope that our son will join us soon?

I really hope so...

Due back to the hospital tomorrow, and am presuming they will give me a date for induction, since I'll be 40 weeks 4 days then, at least I know he won't be in there more than another 6 days or so. The only thing that gets me is I'm now becoming upset by the fact that this is one less week I will have with him before I go back to work... one less week I'll be able to breastfeed, since I want to be dry before I go back to work... I guess I should really just be grateful that we get as much time as we do here ;)

Definitly sounds like your mucous plug, I havebeen losing mine for weeks, I hope this mean good things for you. hope all goes well at the appt.

Oh Honey ....Does sound like your plug I lost mind 6 hours b4 Grace arrived so yes maybe the start of things ... Go for a long walk and sit on a birthing ball if you ve got one also get yourself some nipple shields for when you milk comes in at 2-3 days after birth utter bliss to save you pain when your little latches on ... Grace loves them and so do I really helps ....
I do hope the next time I log in I ll see a pic of you and your babba ...
