27-6-2008 - 41 weeks...

A mere 4 days until we go in to be induced!

There's something to be said for going into labour naturally (I think it's less stressful), but I'll take the induction at this stage - my hips are killing me slowly... sitting, walking, and even lying down is very, very uncomfortable, despite the use of my pregnancy pillow... not to mention every other pillow in the house I can lay my hands on! So I think I'll be wallowing in a warm bath today to take some of the weight off and soothe the joints... once I get the ironing done - I'm so paranoid about going into labour and leaving Jay with no ironed clothes for work... the poor lad irons more of himself than his shirts if I leave him to it... bless him ;)

It seems our sweep was ineffective- had good but irregular contractions and cramping on Tuesday, and more on Wednesday, between 11 and 15, but yesterday I only had about 4 in total... this morning I've had only one so far... so it seems the sweep was not enough to get things going after all... over 48 hours later, if I did go into labour in the next 3 days before the induction, I would certainly not attribute it to the sweep at all.

It's my parent's 33rd wedding anniversary today, and I'm kind of sore that I can't be with them to celebrate, but am so proud of them and can only aspire to the same with the love of my life ;) They've been the most awesome role models ever... I told my dad I had hoped that his grandson would be here to wish them as well... he texted me back saying "see? They never do as they're told!" lol

ok well I hope all goes well, and if ur doing drugs, get them ASAP!!! Dont wait til the pain is all crazy. Relax and enjoy the experience it is so special and magical--really. Esp when u have the love of ur life there w u too enjoy it.

HI DARLIN, YOU SEEM SO RELAXED NICOLLE, I WAS CLIMBING THE WALLS AT THIS STAGE, I KNOW EXACTLY HOW YOU MUST BE FEELING, I WAS IN HOSPITAL IN THE LAST WEEK, AND THOUGHT I WAS NEVER GOING TO GO INTO LABOUR, EVEN WHEN IT WAS ACTUALLY HAPPENING, I DIDN'T BELIEVE I WAS IN LABOUR UNTIL ABOUT 8-9 CMS WHEN THOSE REALLY HARD CONTRACTIONS IN TRANSITION, THEN I KNEW I WAS!
I FEEL FOR YOU NOT BEING THERE FOR YOU PARENTS 33RD WEDDING ANNIVERSARY, THAT IS VERY SAD, BUT HEY, IT IS WONDERFUL THAT THEY HAVE SHARED THEIR LIVES TOGETHER, WITH THE ONE THEY LOVE FOR THIS MANY YEARS, IT IS BECOMING VERY RARE THESE DAYS, GOOD ON THEM, AND GIVE THEM MY CONGRATS WON'T YOU?

I am hoping you go into labour soon hun, I feel so bad, your just waiting and waiting and now over 40 weeks. I am anxious now and can only imagine how your doing. Hang in there, it really won't be long now. Good luck to you...
