30-6-2008 - I... think this is it...

My mood while writing this blog: tired, in pain, but excited

hi ladies, I don't really have time to message everyone individually, but true to my word.... I THINK THIS IS IT.

I promised I'd let you know... ;)

I've been up since around 3:20 with regular painful contractions roughly every 10 minutes (thank you, contractionmaster.com)... Pretty relaxed so far, I was told to go into hospital once I was getting 5 - 6 contractions in an hour... but I'm going to hold on for a little, as I know this can take hours, and I want to be absolutely sure, because for the last few days I've been getting a few contractions around 15 - 20 minutes apart, which then just taper off to nothing... I'd be most upset if I went in just to be sent home for false labour... so far I'm thinking 2 hours of false labour, contractions 7 - 10 minutes apart? Sounds more promising to me :)

I have to laugh at the irony of the lad deciding to appear dramatically a mere day before we are set to be induced... I guess he's been listening!

I'm dying to lie down, if for no other reason than to elevate my feet (because I've only slept for 2 hours the swelling from yesterday has not gone down properly yet, and is adding to the new swelling now that I've been up and moving for 2 hours) but I daren't take the chance that this might slow or dissipate altogether...

If this is in fact it, I won't be online again for about a week, as they keep you here for 4 days or so...

UPDATE: Oh no... absolutely nothing the last 30 minutes... is it possible this was false, after all? Back pain has dissipated, getting what feels like Braxton Hicks... after 3 hours of good, painful, fairly regular contractions... Now nothing? Noooooo. :(

this happened to me on the 19th but i would not go to hospital i was convinced it was not painful enough to know ots 100% real, so I stayed home went to sleep at 4am,a nd then i woke to 2 painful contractions which continued ( and appered to me braxtion hicks) and i went ti hopsital on the 20th to be in duced at 8ama nd showed up in labor a nd 5 cm dialted, funny how that works, they didnt induce me....broke water, i have a feelin ur onna have the sa,e story keep us posterd congrats and goodluuckl
