My mood while writing this blog: peaceful and hungry

Eight weeks gone now. This makes eight less weeks where I have that special bond with baby #2...that bond where no one knows if baby is awake or hungry or hiccuping or playing...no one except me. We got the first ultrasound earlier this week. I really needed that. With my first baby, my husband was out to sea, we were living overseas, so no family was around...and very few friends. I had nothing to occupy my time other than watching the pregger shows on the learning channel and obsessing about the fact I was pregnant, too! This time around, it's been different.

The husband is on shore duty....yay! For the next 10 months or so...so I get to have him up my but all the time! No duty days, and no underways! Plus, I have a 2 1/2 year old, and a 3month old puppy and two cats, and my husband's truck just broke down, so I'm juggling pennies to figure out how to pay for it. In other words, I don't have time to breathe, much less obsess about #2. So, the sonogram helped. It made everything a little clearer. And I must say, on the way back home, I fell in love. So, now, here I am in love with a jelly bean I can't see or hear or feel, and I am perfect. Life couldn't be better.
