January 20, 2008 - This is my journey of pregnancy after having a Roux-en-Y. My first two children, well three actually. Were conceived via IVF/ICSI since I was not ovulating due to my extreme weight. I know you are asking where my third child is since I only filled out the info on two. You see, Erin was a twin and her sister got her wings at only 2 months gestational age. I sent her home on Mother's Day 2005.
I have my first appointment with my high risk OB on Feb. 14th and am waiting on my gastric surgeon's office to contact me. You see all my vitamins are watched through blood work since I know long absorb them like everyone else. I also can not do the gestational diabetes test since I can dump. Meaning get really ill since I can not metabolize sugars. So this is all new territory even though I have been pregnant. So welcome to my new beginning in health and a journey of a lifetime in pregnancy.
