02-12-2008 - Morning sickness

My mood while writing this blog: tired

This is my first blog. Right now I'm about 6 1/2 weeks pregnant. I thought I was lucky and bypassed morning sickness. Then it snuck up on me. I have no idea how to keep food down right now. No matter what I eat it wants to come back up. Even soft, bland foods. I am lucky to be able to keep liquids down. No problems there (knock on wood). I can't go grocery shopping or any shopping it seems. I have no idea how I'm going to work like this lol. I still need to tell my boss that I'm going to be having a baby.

Mike, my husband, and I tried to get pregnant for just 2 months before it happened. We are really excited. Well, it's hard to be excited when you're sick. But when I'm feeling good, I'm excited. When I'm sick I'm just ready for it to be over with. Anyhow, mike painted our baby room while I was on vacation. He's so good to me. And he's helping more around the house because I'm weak. It's bad when a neat freak leaves spilt food on the counter lol.

My next appointment is Dec 19. We should be able to hear the heart beat. I had an ultrasound when I was just 5 weeks along, but it was too soon to see anything. Bummer. But this next appointment should be an exciting one.
