| 08-5-2009 - 28 week appointment | My mood while writing this blog:content |
I went in today for my 28 week appointment. The baby's heart rate is 165. It's so funny how the heart rate changes at each appointment. Last time it was 148. Actually, 165 is the highest it's ever been. Everything is going well. The doctor felt around my tummy for the first time, so I asked if he could feel how the baby was laying. Without hesitation, he said, "yes, the head is here, the back is here, arms and feet are over here....." I was amazed! Of course, he is a very experienced doctor. The secretary said that he delivered her baby girl 25 years ago and is now going to deliver her gradchild. So he's been in practice for a long time. I just can't believe how easy he can tell where the baby is lol. So, he is in the head down position and the doctor said that most likely he will remain that way.
I swear though, that the nurse is writing my weight down wrong! I swear! According to her, I've gained 5 pounds since the last visit. And I know I haven't gained more than 2 pounds!!!! I've been closely watching my weight, so I know how much I gained. And this isn't the first time either. So I recorded my weight down in my phone for next time. Even on the first visit, she wrote my weight down as 151, when it was actually 157! So they automatically think I gained 6 more pounds than what I have! And what can I say? I'm sure all kinds of pregnant women go in there and accuse their weight of being wrong lol.
Tomorrow, my sister-in-law who i also work with, is throwing me my first baby shower! I'm so excited!
I'm getting a little nervous though lol. I mean, now I'm going to start going to the doctor every 2 week.... And it's baby shower time lol. It's just getting closer and closer so fast! It used to feel like I'd never reach this point.
