22-5-2009 - 30 week appt... 5 pound baby already???

My mood while writing this blog: YIKES

Well, we went to my 30 week appointment today. Everything looks good. The doctor was feeling my belly and says "you're baby is growing good!" I'm thinking I'm right on track, you know.... 3 pounds-ish... Then he says "he's about 4 1/2 to 5 pounds now." I'm like Oh no! He still has over 2 months to grow even bigger! The doctor said it looks like he got his daddy's genes since my husband was over 9 pounds when he was born. It's just so odd because everyone keeps saying how small I am for how far along I am. Does anyone else have a 5 pound baby this far along too?

I've been sick all week. It's like a cold with a kick. Almost like the flu without vomiting. We're sitting in the doctors office and there's a tv in there that just talks about health stuff. And they were talking about the swine flu. I have all the symptoms. I'm getting over it now, so there's no sense in going to the doctor for it. But it knocked me on my butt! I've been out of work all week. And the 1 day I went, my temp went up to 100.5 and they sent me home. I slept it off for 3 days and now I'm finally feeling better. I didn't think I would have had the swine flu because I wasn't vomiting. But I was nauseated. And the tv said that only sometimes does vomiting occur. Well, I guess we'll never know now since I'm getting better.
