| 23-5-2009 - Eventful night/morning | My mood while writing this blog:Exhausted! |
Yesterday was the first day I stayed awake all day long this week. I've been sick all week with the flu. We had a pretty busy day with the dr appointment and errands and stuff. I planned to go to bed early since today would be my first day back at work this week. I got caught up in the dog whisperer though lol. So anyway, at 1:30 am I get a call from my brother wanting me to come get him because he and his fiance are fighting... again. This is the second time in about a month and a half that I've gotten a late night call to come get him. Well, I said I would, but he said he'd call me back. At 2:00, I sent a text since they wouldn't answer their phones saying I was sick and going to bed... I just get to sleep when His fiance calls asking me to come get my brother. At that point I said no. I have to draw a line somewhere, right? I said I was going to bed. I waited for them to call me back with directions. I was just praying they didn't get into trouble and got home safely. He wanted to go home, but she didn't. I just wanted some sleep! So again, right when I get back to sleep, I get another call. This time, it's my brother saying that his fiance got pulled over and got a DUI. The cop won't let him out of the car unless he has a ride home or he'll get a drunk in public. So, at that point, I have to pick him up. So, I get my 7 and a half month pregnant and sick butt up at 3:45 am and set out to search for where they are. The cop let my brother go with me, thank God. His fiance got arrested and taken to jail.
Okay, so my brother is sleeping on my couch and I finally make it back to bed at 4:30ish. I was so thirsty, but sooooo tired that I just went to bed. at 7:30, I wake up with braxton hicks! I mean, they are 4 minutes apart! I'm starting to panic. I know they aren't a concern, but to have them so regular for an hour or so... I got scared. So I got up and drank a bottle of water. 30 minutes later, I was still getting them. So I drank another bottle of water and orange juice. Of course, my husband is late getting home from work because he had to stay over. I kept having the contractions, but I was so tired, I just fell asleep again. My husband came home just as I fell asleep. So as we fell asleep, here's my mom to pick up my brother! And then my husband's mom to drop some stuff off. I'm still having contractions. I decided to take a bath and get ready just incase we have to go to the hospital. After I got ready though, I laid back down to time them and call the dr. And thankfully, they were gone. I must have just been dehydrated.
Well, I made it through the day on 3 hours of sleep. I worked a full shift and all. I feel like I could just pass out and sleep for a whole day now! I've never in my life had such a crazy day! Well, needless to say, I've got to get some sleep.
I can not believe your Brother is putting so much stress on you.. I hope both his fiance and himself have learned their lesson. Maybe now they will leave you alone. They are going to have to fend for themselves soon anyways it's not as if you can pack up a newborn and drive the streets looking for their drunk behinds.
I hope you get some rest and kick that cold.
