| 15-6-2009 - Stretch marks! Ahhh, crap! And my dog Layla | My mood while writing this blog:okay |
Well, I finally have them... stretch marks! I noticed my first one about 2 weeks ago. I thought the cat must have scratched me in my sleep. He likes to walk on me at night for some reason. It didn't even strike me as a stretch mark. Then I started retaining water like I've never seen in my life. I think it has made me bigger all around. And that's when I noticed 3 on the right side of my stomach and 2 on the left. So much for rubbing endless amounts of Palmers oil and lotion on my belly since week 6! Luckily, they aren't very wide and they are pretty faint. I've switched to Bio Oil which is pretty expensive for the amount you get. But maybe it will help.. or atleast fade the ones I have.
I have gone through almost 3, 4quart pitchers of fluid in the past 2 days. I'm soooo thirsty! But I'm finally starting to pee more, so hopefully this swolleness will go down some. My husband is going to take me to the beach for a night next week if the doctor says it's okay. I'm not much for the ocean, but I am craving some sunbathing. And I think a pool would be nice. Someone I work with who is 9 months pregnant said swimming feels so good because you're weightless. I have my dr appointment Friday. Of course my swelling will be down by then. I always swell up real big and go down just before I see the doctor. I've told him about it, but he won't get the full extent unless he sees it.
So my poor dog, Layla has some growth on her foot. It's this white bump on the pad of her paw. We took her to the vet 3 weeks ago. They just said if it doesn't get better, to bring her back. Well, it seemed to bother her less, but it started growing. It went from a white patch to a bump. She doesn't limp unless we exercise her. But yesterday, he stepped on a stick and yelped like someone had stepped on her. So anyway, we decided we better take her back to the vet today. They say the best thing is to go ahead and remove it, which they were trying to avoid doing. Also, it has to be sent off for biopsy since Boxers have high incidense of cancer. I'm kind of upset because she has to go under general anesthesia. I had a cat who went in for surgery and had a heart attack when they put him under. So it makes me nervous. And then the cancer thing. I worry about that. Hopefully, it's just a cyst or something. Her appointment is June 25th. I hope I can get off work that day. I signed up to work. But I don't want my dog to be left alone since Mike has to work too. I don't want to put surgery off and risk having to take care of her and go into labor while she's recovering.
