30-6-2009 - Update on Nanny

My mood while writing this blog: eh

Nanny's MRI did infact show cancer of the spine. And like I thought it doesn't just start off in the spine. It had to have spread from somewhere else... She's been admitted to the hospital and they are going to start doing CT scans tomorrow to figure otu where the cancer started... But when it's gotten to the point of spreading, it's bad news. She's probably had it for a while now. And there's no telling where all it has spread to. Or from... I mean, it could be anywhere. But I'm trying to not worry so much about it until we find out what's going on. It's just hard. I wasn't able to go to her doctor's appointment today, but I'll be going to the hospital tomorrow. I keep trying to stay calm whenever I get a phone call with more news. I know it isn't good, but I don't want to alarm anyone, you know? I know they know that I know about this, being a nurse and all. I try to not sound upset or they will know to be upset.

It seems as though for the past few months it has just been one thing after another. I'm so tired. Like, every month it's something new and it's worse than the last. My life is usually not like this at all. I am usually pretty boring with a happy life. Usually nothing new is going on. I feel like I've been cursed now!

I know i'm getting stressed because my braxton hicks keep getting stronger and closer together. Luckily, it's just braxton hicks and they are irregular. No pains or anything.

On a happier note, I'm not sure if I said anything about it yet... but my dog, Layla's biopsy came back benign. So she's cancer-free. Now if I can just keep her from getting her paw infected! I try so hard, but anything I put on there, she takes right off. I've been doing baby socks and taping them to her leg. But she somehow manages to get it off. And I want my baby to have socks lol. I've gone through 3 pair already. Stubborn brat dog. But we love her.

Anywho, please keep my nanny in your prayers. I feel like we're going to need all the prayers we can get. I'll update again later.
