08-7-2009 - My doctor called me!

Let me just say... I can't say enough how HAPPY I am to just be home! I am still pissed off about the whole hospital situation. I can't seem to get over it! Eventhough she could never diagnose me with having protein in my urine and my blood pressures were down... and swelling gone... The on call doctor STILL wanted to induce me this week and wanted to induce me over 2 or 3 days! I just can't believe it. And my doctor didn't want me induced until 39 weeks which he just told me on July 2nd.

So today, my real doctor actually called me. He called me and he was on vacation! How nice was that?!?! Gave me his cell phone number so that if I have anymore issues I am to call him and not the on call doctor lol. He said he heard I was upset. And asked if I got home yesterday morning. I told him no, that the doctor wouldn't let me go and when she finally did she wanted me to sign out AMA! He felt really bad. I also told him that she wanted to induce me now and make it over 2 or 3 days. He said he was really sorry. That he told her to not even send me to the hospital! Can you believe??? And she said she wanted to watch me overnight. He told her that was fine and to let me go in the morning. So that's what he thought she did! He still says he doesn't want me induced until 39 weeks. I can't believe she was doing things that he didn't want her to do to me. He had told her to send me home on bedrest and that I was fine. Some people just have hyper sensitive reflexes. And I always have in my knees. He went on to tell me that she was a newer doctor and gets very anxious about things. While mine has been practicing for over 25 years. He's seen a lot. So I really trust his opinions. That just topped the cake though that he wanted her to send me home and I went through hell in the hospital trying to get out. I knew I was fine. I knew I didn't need to be induced. My baby was doing great according to the monitors. Everything that was wrong with me in the begining wasn't a big deal and it was all gone by the next morning.

Oh yeah, and did I mention that the hospital didn't even bother to feed me for over 24 hours???? Luckily I had mike who could go out and get me stuff. He was so supportive and just the best husband ever. Poor Mikey... He works full-time, does school full-time, and now has me to take care of and the whole house to clean since I can't anymore. Not once has he complained. I'm so happy to have him. He's so good to me :)

But I am even more impressed with my doctor now that he actually called me! I never expected a phone call. Especially since he's on vacation. And he gave me his personal number. How nice! Just a wonderful doctor.
