02-9-2010 - new news nervousMy mood while writing this blog:
nervous

ok so i went yesterday to my doc appointment finally got to see the doc i was supposed to see the first time i was referred... so he pulled in an ultrsound machine becuz i wasnt scheduled for one, we checked out the baby's insides and his bladder was empty which was a great sign becuz last time his bladder had fluid in it, n that is the main cause of prune belly syndrome, so he's saying that my son doesnt have any of the characteristics that go along with prune belly syndrome... so he's leaning away from prune belly syndrome and towards something called an omphacele

an omphacele is basically an extreme hernia, but unlike a hernia there cud be chromozones wrong with him also... so i have to go back on the 14th n have them test the amniotic fluid for extra or abnormal chromozones... if the chromozone tests come back normal then its all physical, which wud mean a few surgery's once he's born. his liver and intestines are in his umbilican cord, or so it looks rite now, which makes it an omphacele.

good news is his fingers are all of the sudden normal and seperating just as they shud be, he has ten toes and ten fingers (which both chromozones that cud be wrong with him wud show signifacant deformities in his fingers n toes) another great thing is it seemed that there was more amniotic fluid this time rather then last time... i really think im seeing a mirical is progress.. if his chromozones are normal its all physical and a few surgerys will fix his tummy n he will be perfectly normal... his dad was playing with him last nite, video recording him moving in my tummy, i seen my husbands face n felt how strong my son is... were both suprized but very thankful, our son is our little angel n he's growing stronger each day!

doc also said there's still a good chance i can give deliver naturally, not c-section! i will prolly have to be induced becuz i cant risk going into labor away frm the hospital, due to the hospital being up to an hour n a half away when traffic is bad... doc said the only way i will have to have a c-section is if his stomach gets to big n wont fit thru the birth canal, so we have to keep monitoring the growth of his stomach n hope that it even reduces... i trust in God, i've seen this much, anything can happen now....

so in two wees i get the glucose test, an ultrasound to track his growth n of corse to see my lil guy, n i get the amniotic fluid test, n then i have to get the shot for being RH negative, i still have to get another shot at 28 weeks for the RH negative... anywho that will be a busy day, but hopefully i can take home some new pics since they get to poke n prod hopefully i get some pics haha! well keep me n my son in ur prayer's, i'll update as soon as i know more, thank u
