03-9-2010 - research

My mood while writing this blog:
Ok

so i did some research on the internet with my mom n found that if it is only an omphalocele, and the chromozones are normal, with the bigger omphalocele's (like Landon's) it can take up to 3 different surgerys to fix his tummy... n they have to put in a bunch of tubes, his stomach has to stay empty so they put a nutrition line in, n then a tube down his throat to suck anything in his stomach out, n then oxygen in the nose, n a few others... he cant eat becuz it wud be to much pressure on the organs, we have to wait for him to be comfortable with all his organs inside him... so he can in he hospital anywhere frm 3 to 6 months... im very happy that its all fixable, that he can make it thru this with good odds... i just wish i cud take him home when i have him, its what every mom wants... well i guess its better i found that out now instead of when he was born, i wouldnt like being blindsitted with that kind of news, at least if i expect that to happen n weather it does or doesnt it wont be as bad. i can feel him kicking my ribs today... hopefully as he grows the omphalocele will not be as big, if they arent as severe then they only have to stay in the hospital 1 to 2 months and its only one surgery, alot to think about, but either way, i love my son and hope n pray for the best. keep me n my son in your prayers, thank u
