01-4-2010 - CONFUSED!!!

My mood while writing this blog: Discouraged! But Blessed!

Hi every1..... I just figured I would write a blog.......
OK so I "thought" my water broke or atleast leaking alot!! Went to Dr and she was amazed how lil my belly looked from 2 days ago.... she did say I REALLY dropped .....They sent me over to hospital to get a U/S To check my fluids/amniotic...... Gettin that done they wouldnt tell me NOTHING .. I hate that but understand its there job I guess.... The Tech my lil guys Heart looked beautiful and she could see him practicing his breathing.....He is Head down so that was a Plus... ok so after that they sent me to OB to be monitered and I was STILL filling them pads up with fluid..... The nurse I had was $%@%$ sry about that but she wasnt listening to ANYTHING I was telling her ...... without checking ANTHING she kept telling me it was Urine ........... I KNOW IT WASNT!!! She gave me a clean pad and then wanted to see it (so she said) ok it took about 15 minutes and It was SOAKED!! I told her when the fluids were comming out and she just ignored me she left the room and I had hubby change my pad so I cold show her when she came back in the room and there was even Mucus on it ,she took her time getting back in there ,then I TRIED to show her she very quickly looked at it and said o thats clear its only discharge.. Not even looking at it closely and she said if was my membranes it would be more wet than what it was...... she said it would have went through my underwear and pad....... Im thinking ok it has NO color she didnt feel the pad soaked and if I was only leaking why would it go through one them huge hospital pads and my underwear ................................ My hubby and I both were steaming......she said my U/S showed I was a lil low on my fluids but she would have to talk to me Dr about it......................Then she said "IF I even had a pinhole in my membranes which was very unlikely"she said it wouldnt be a big deal .. My hubby asked her"OK so IF there was a chance of her having a pinhole of a leak what would we watch for.... She said I could even bleed and I wouldnt have to come back as long as Its not alot of blood like Im on my period........ Or if I had a BIG gush (DUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHH thats why I went in there in the first place ..........) My hubby and I were sooooooo upset she was just acting like this was No big deal at all...... I was having Contractions the whole time I was in there and she said o they r mild its no big deal.... So she went and called my Dr and told him that all I was having was discharge........ GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR................ after that I asked if I could take my Procardia for my contractions she wouldnt let me then after my contractions were getting worse she called my Dr again so she said.... then she came in and let me have it and within minutes my contractions had stopped But I was still leaking..... so here I am READY TO KNOCK HER OUT and just leave and go to a different hospital........ I took my anxiety meds and took a nap for about an hour then when I woke up wasnt long after that my Dr. came in FINALLY.....since i was having nomore contractions he let me leave But told me to make sure I go see him tomarrow......I will talk to him then about everything..............
My thought is I lost 2 lbs in 2 days I dropped and kept leaking ALOT I was measuring 1 week ahead for the last 3 weeks now Im right on And what I was leaking was colorless and odorless....... And My stomach was soooo flat when I was laying down it was freaky..... I posted 2 pics One was from 2day and one was from 2 weeks ago Both of them I was laying down PLZ let me know what you think!!! Im VERY VERY BLESSED that I didnt have my lil guy today dont get me rong But I really believe In my heart that it was my amniotic fluid and I can feel labor is approaching fast!!! YES im very nervous about it and I PRAY that they r not missing or mistaking nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The pics I put in my photos are the last 2 I posted I just want you all to see what Im talking about!!!
Im sry this was sooooooo Long But didnt want to or ATLEAST try not to leave any details out......... I think the pics Explain most it.........
Thank-You for caring and taking the time to read this and PLZ comment n let me know what u think mayb sum1 has been through this or just has a great opinion and or advice for me.....

fuken idiots.... Listen honey... I had my son preterm... If you are leaking fluid there is a VERY high chance of an infection that can kill you and the baby. i was rushed to the hospital and given antibiotics and med to make me deliver. Tell your hubby ill knock the btch out for him.. I HATE IGNORANT NURSES!!!!!! and I have seen and delt with many of them....sorry if I am loud with my post... but if she thought it was pee then why didnt she put a cup under you and check it out? My doctor put the fluid on a slide and told me right away it was fluid.... not pee... grrrrr.... I hope you saw your doctor by now... grrr

I'm with the other ladies... I cannot believe the nurse's attitude! I really hope everything turns out okay... and I agree if u could try another hospital u should. praying for u and baby.

well am so sorry that that stupid nurse put u through that and I hope that u never get to se her again! I would be as angry too if not more b/c she sounds like she didn't care about ur concerns at all. That is not a good quality in a nurse from what they teach me in nursing school. I hope never to take my job fro granted and forget that am dealing with human beings b/c the way she delt with u isn't how u would want to be treated at all. I hope that things go better for u and the doc gives u the time to let it all out and relieve yourself of that ordeal. Please let me know if u r Ok and if the doc says anything different. I keep u in my prayers.

i think me and my husband would have cursed that lady out. lolim sorry you are having to go through this! how scary! please post after you go to see your doctor! hope everything is ok for you and your baby!

Nervous, how frustrating I don't think my husband could have remained that calm in that situation. The nurse sounds like a complete airhead. I know that we live in the same area, and we have had problems with some of the smaller local hospitals misdiagnosing or missing the actual problem and the staff acting very similar. I am not sure which hospital you went to in the area, we have tried two that were closest for us and the staff was very incompetent. Since then when we have had to go to the hospital or ER we make the drive to Fort Wayne, Lutheran Hospital. (hopefully, that is not where you went.) and have had very good luck. It is a pain to drive there but it might be worth it if you don't get any more help from your doctor. Also, in our experience, even though we have to drive 1/2 hour to get there we get taken care of quicker then if we only go the 10 minutes to a more local hospital. Good Luck & the two of you are in my prayers.

I agree with what the other ladies are saying. It sounds like you had a small hole perhaps a the top of the uterus that is leaking, that's what happened to me and they can test the fluid to see if it is amniotic fluid. The good thing is that since its a relatively slow leak (not gushing out) it is probably at the top of the uterus, which minimizes chances of infection. Plus you are seeing your doctor tomorrow so having a slow leak even for a couple of days is not dangerous, but longer then that could be worrisome. when I had my leak it leaked for about 12 hours and then it stopped until labour came a day later, but that just means that it wasn't so pressurised anymore. I hope your doctor is more attentive tomorrow and if he's not I hope you can get a second opinion!

Yep that sounds like me! I had a high tear in my sac which caused me to slowly leak my sac. My doc had done an ultrasound and was like 'oh the fluid looks good' and I was having light contractions and when I went back the next day they were like oh so that was your water leaking (it had been like 34 hours leaking at that point which you aren't supposed to past 24 hrs in case of infection) We totally know our bodies better than anybody!!!! I would have demanded a different nurse or asked DH to. That sudden dropping and weight loss are also classic signs... When I had first gone in with my leaking they tried to tell me it was semen from DH and I having sex 5 days earlier... I knew that wasn't right at all. And they also suggested that maybe I'd pee'd. Then like I said I went back in the next morning saying I was still leaking and thats when they figured it was a high tear. I would go back in tomorrow!

My water did break with one baby and I thought I had peed the bed. I did not go to the hospital that night, but a few nights later with a bladder infection. Not a good out come. The next baby I had a lot of fluid and was so scared that it was the same as the time before so I ran to the hospital. The nurse did the swab test and it was not my amniotic fluid. That pregnancy was fine. Did they not test your fluid or do you know if they did? Very strange! I can see your frustration! I will pray that everything goes fine from here on out for you!

OMG seriously I would have just knocked that stupid nurse out. GRRR that makes me so mad. Ok so she was insinuating (cant spell blah) that you were peeing yourself and not knowing it? Who the heck doesnt know it if they are peeing themselves? HELLO??? on top of that pee has a distinct smell and you said it didnt smell. Well I would be VERY suprised if it wasnt amnio fluid. She's gonna feel REAL STUPID when you go in there in active labor. I hope your baby doesnt come right now but gosh nurses are so STUPID sometimes. I would deffinetly go to your dr and tell him about what happend and maybe even go to a different hospital and demand the test that mommy of 4 is talking about..

my sister went to hospital several times thinking her water broke and they would swab her cervix and do a test to see if it was amniotic fluid. its really simple they swab it dip it in some liquid and if it turned blue it was amniotic fluid. i cant believe they didnt test the fluid. im sorry that must be so frustrating

I cant believe that damn nurse..omg what a A@@ she was to you and your hubby, you are concerned and scared and all she did was make things worst..*sigh* Anyway, im so happy to hear you and Baby are ok tho.
