My mood while writing this blog: very confused... |
Well ok ladies I had a routine check up with my doctor last wednesday.. everything was good.... welll at least i thought... that wednesday evening i ended getting a really bad infection. wasnt sure what it was so got checked out yesterday and the doctor determined it was a yeast infection... well he prescribed me some medication called Vandizole. Now before use of any medication i always read the directions and warnings... well this medication he prescribed happen to talk about how this medicine "crosses the placetal barrier and into fetal cerculation very rapidly" These are the actual words..." In a small study it was found that intrauterine deaths were associated with this medication." Now i went and got a second opinion from my doctor and from a pharmacist they both told me that if i didnt feel comfortable using it then dont but my doctor did advice me that my infection is pretty bad and that over the counter meds will most likely not work... which was my only option if i chose to not use the Vandizole cream. S ee if i use this medication im putting my unborn daughter at risk and if i end up losing her i wouldnt know what to do with myslef. my husband says just to wait it out for the 8 weeks we got lefft but i dont know if i can... im so confused on whetehr or not to use it. i dont want to use it because of whta it says and then i do want to use it becausse this itching and burning is really bad.....im so confused. well ladies tell me what u think and if any of you's have used this cream before let me know!!! ne advice is greatly appreciated... well ladies thanks for hhearing me out...love vanessa..

Thursday, 11 Sep Wow, I would not use it. But you do need to get rid of your infection because it can cause you to go into preterm labor. So no don't wait. Ask your doctor about the one day pill for yeast infections, it works in 24 hours and it does not harm the baby at all I took it when pregnant with my twins a couple of times. Yograt does also work. tassy -

Tuesday, 9 Sep Eating yogurt does help, that's what my little girls' doctor told me to do for them when they get a yeast infection--which happens a lot to little girls from staying wet in diapers. Anyways, I wouldn't use ANY medication I wasn't sure of, but NOT treating it isn't an option either, so I would try all the natural methods I could--of course after asking my doc about them first--although I can tell you, I'd say she'd be fine w/ you eating yogurt! :) They also tell me to put a cup of vinager in the bathwater for my girls-I'd say you could do this for you as well--and if you're taking alot of baths, stop unless you wash yourself in the shower and only sit in the clean bathwater, b/c soap and shampoo can irritate you down there and give you an infection. I would also ask my doctor for a more "pregnant friendly" medicine and tell him/her that I'll take my chance w/ it not working or not being effective b/c I would rather try that than take my chances on one being so effective but it made me miscarry. Yeah, that's what I'd do. :) Good luck girl. Hope you get some relief! borimami -
Tuesday, 9 Sep Honey it is a proven fact the natural cure for a yeast infection is yogurt! East it like crazy. Now, my mother would by me plain yougyrt and what you do is put in the tub and sit in it!! believe it or not its very soothing. It works!! Google it to see too. Someone told me (this is nasty) that when it gets in there it draws all of that out like cottage cheese. Sorry. Im using her words. lol but try it! CatwithKitten -
Tuesday, 9 Sep whoa thats a scary warning! I think you are right to hold off if you can. Can you ask your doctor if there is an over-the-counter that will alleviate the symptoms until you are ready to deliver?
