| 24-7-2009 - Weight Gain | My mood while writing this blog:Depressed |
I intially lost some weight with the morning sickness, but have since started to gain. This is the area of most concern for me :-\ I struggled with my weight for a long time, but when my husband and I got engaged in January 2008 I decided to take control and really get healthy. I lost 23 lbs for the wedding with healthy diet and exercise with a personal trainer. I have continued to maintain that weight for over a year, eating super healthy (no processed foods, gluten free, mostly organic fruits vegetables, low fat dairy and low fat chicken and fish). I am still eating super healthy, but last week I finally started to gain with the pregnancy! I am so concerned about gaining too much, because I know how hard it is to lose weight the proper way and I just don't want to have to go through that again!!! I found this calculator on the I-am-pregnant site, and since I started at 132 it says I should gain just 30 lbs.
Weight Gain Plan:
Your BMI: 24.9
Classed as: normal
Your Recommended weight gain: 30 lbs
month 1:
133 lbs
month 2:
134 lbs
month 3:
135 lbs
month 4:
139.5 lbs
month 5:
144 lbs
month 6:
148.5 lbs
month 7:
153 lbs
month 8:
157.5 lbs
month 9:
162 lbs
I really hope that I can do this!! I was so depressed this morning to discover I am already a pound and a half over where it says I should be for the end of month 3 :-( I don't know how I gained 2lbs this week since I am exercising every day and even met with a trainer on Monday. Was it all the broccoli I ate with dinner? The constipation? Is it all boobs? Anybody else semi-obsessed with not gaining too much during the pregnancy??
