I was at home trying to go to sleep..kept feeling umcomfortable on my bed so I went to the living and laid on the couch around 4 a.m. Kept tossing and turning and was getting mild contractions. At 4:50 a.m. my water broke. Woke up my bf and told him to take me to the hospital. Got to the ER and the nurse checked to see if my water broke..she said only one bag had broken and still had one more to go. Was dilated to 3cm at that point, nurse told me to stay. Contractions started getting painful as time went by and around 2 p.m. I asked for an epidural..OH MY did that hurt I was in tears when they put the epidural lol. Started feeling a lil better and eventually I had dilated to 10 cm...Dr said it was time to push so I started pushing for a good hour and nothing..she was too big to go thru the birth canal and I was wore out from pushing so much. Dr asked if I wanted to rest for another hour so I can start pushing again and I said NO! I knew the baby was too big and there was no need for me to be in pain for another hour ..besides the baby was stll high up in my tummy I never dropped. I told Dr. I was going to go ahead and do the c section. They took me to the OR and had to give me medication 3 times because I could feel when they were trying to cut me..it wasnt working so they ended up numbing my whole body..I was scared. My bf was with me all the way bless his heart, and soon enough my little bundle of joy decided to come out after giving me sooo much pain hehehe. She was a whoping 9 lbs 2 oz and 22 1/2 in long ..big girl but I love her so much and everything I went thru was very well worth it. I got up and started walking that night and was able to walk everyday while I was at the hospital..I actually did pretty damn good, everyone was amazed at how fast I was recovering and Sophia was doing excellent...Pedi came over a couple of times and told us how big and healthy she was. I thank god for the blessing he has brought to our lives and now we are a little happy family = )

...your so similar to my birth story. Only major thing different is when my water broke at 3AM...I didn't know so I didn't go to the ER until 1:30 pm the next day. And my husband was still in CA. I wish I would have known what was really going on, so my hubby could have caught an eariler flight...but I didn't want to call him until I knew for sure. At least he didn't have to see me in total pain. But in a way...I wish he did. That way he knew what I really went through. LOL how is your c-section feeling? I think my stiches just now finally went away. I need to make an appointmnet for my dr but I don't want to be touched down there. lol seriously. so maybe next week...eh..or the next.
