So today I went to the OB again and talked to the doctor about how my life has been going and she was happy to hear all the changes and decisions I have made to do what best for me and the baby. Ricky went with me so he got to see how my visits to the doctor were for the first time. Everything looked fine and normal, so that was great to hear. I also found out from the doctor why i look so big for only 13 weeks and she said it's because all your organs are being pushed up from your now bigger uterus taking up the space that was available. That made me feel better. I haven't gained any weight I actually lost 1/2 a pound from last time I was at the doctors.

Then finally we got to go to ultrasound where they wanted to do a down syndrome test. The baby was on its head the whole time pretty much and did not want to move from that spot. We tried everything from me turning sides to sitting up from walking. Nothing worked baby is very stubborn and doesn't want to move for anybody. The technician was having a very hard time trying to measure the neck with the angle baby was at. But finally after much hard work baby moved a little bit and we got what we needed. Of course baby would move everything but from it's position it was in. The legs and feet were moving, the arms were up by the head and it was the cutest thing. We even got to see the baby put it's hand in it's mouth, and it's just amazing how much baby has grown from a month ago. I guess baby looks good and healthy and the heart rate was 166 bpm. Baby is a little over 3 inches long and getting bigger. Cant wait to see if the baby is a boy or girl, well we'll see next time hopefully.
