20-4-2008 - 20/04/08 - 38 weeks pregnant

My mood while writing this blog: apprehensive

Well, here I am, 38 weeks pregnant and only 2 days to go before I have my babies. I cannot believe it! I don't know how I feel right now to be honest: it is a mix of nerves, excitement, fear... and tiredness! I have no idea what to expect. One half of me is so ready to get these babies out, and the other feels so unprepared. I must say, I have had it easier than I expected throughout the pregnancy. A lot of twin-mammies have troubles throughout their pregnancies, unfortunately, but I have been lucky (touch wood). There still is no sign of whether or not they would decide to come on their own soon! They have still not dropped! One thing that stands in my way of really getting excited is the fact that I have not managed to get my last essay for uni done. I had one more to do, and I have had the last few days in which to get it done, but I just could not concentrate. You understand, don't you?! I feel terrible about it. I wish one of my tutors would ring me up right now and say, "It's ok Niamh, we know you would have done a fantastic essay had you been up to it, so we will give you a first anyway!" Haha! Wouldn't that be great?! I also feel terrible about it because Stephen kept telling me I can do it, no problem, and I know I could have, but I just didn't have it in me to push myself. I am so tired, distracted, and anxious. And the subject for the essay was really difficult, too... Oh well, enough about that. Soon, I am going to be a mother! I am sure my whole outlook will then change! Am I ready to be a mother?! NO! I am selfish, young, lazy and irresponsible (that's how I got pregnant!) -- but I am sure these babies will change all that in me! Please god they will come out healthy and fine. I will be in hospital for 5-7 days after the op, so I will be in touch asap after that! Many thanks for all the wishes of good luck!
