02-4-2008 - Another day in the preggo life

My mood while writing this blog: ***sigh***

So I just remembered I have a baby shower to go to this weekend on Saturday. Joy. Not that I don't want to go, but...okay, so I guess i just don't really want to go! I never feel like doing anything on my two glorious days off of work. I just want to relax! But, back to the point, there is a baby shower on Saturday. For my sister's best bud. My mom will be there as well, which I definitely don't really want to deal with. She will want to play up my pregnancy - which, No. 1 - it's SOMEONE ELSE'S shower, don't take the attention from her, and No. 2 - she will want to talk to my stomach (which I CANNOT STAND her doing), which again, will be trying to take the attention from who the SHOWER IS FOR!! I love my husband talking to Baby Boy, but not my mother. Agh. Oh well, I will make it through. The REAL issue is that this shower makes me think about the shower they will throw for me, and what formalities I am obligated to follow on who will be there and who won't be!! I DO NOT WANT MY IN LAWS TO COME!!!! We are NOT on good terms, and MIL is always faking being nice, then turns and runs to tell MY HUSBAND's ex girlfriend everything. MIL considers the ex girlfriend her family rather than me, so WHY SHOULD I INVITE HER!!!???!?? SIL acts the exact same way. Do I cause more drama by not having them there? Or do I suck it up and invite them and hope they don't come?
