10-11-2008 - Saving these

My mood while writing this blog: fine

~10/22/08~ Chathum's now 10 weeks, will be 11 weeks on Monday! Time is just flying by. I am looking forward to 16 weeks so I can start him on some cereal! Feeding him with a spoon! BUT, I will be glad just to take each moment as it comes, because it is all going to go by so quickly! He is raising his head and chest very well right now, but mostly while he is on my chest. He does not like tummy time! I need to stick to my guns and keep doing tummy time regularly though, because I would really love to see him roll over! He is such a happy morning baby :) I am wanting to get a moby wrap to see how he likes to have mommy 'wear' him! I think he will love it and be much happier throughout the rest of the day. (as long as daddy will wear it while he is home with him!) It's okay to be back at work right now, but I do miss him everyday. I wish I could stay home with him, but we aren't at a point where that is possible, and that's okay too. I am very happy that my husband can be there with him, because I know Chathum is being taken care of!! Happy 10th week mommies!

~10/16/08~ TWO MONTHS OLD!! Chathum had his shots on Monday this week :( Poor little guy! He did so good though! He weighed in at a god 13 lbs 1.5 oz!! Hurray! So far he has gained 4 lbs 6.5 oz! I am sure he is a few ounces more by today. He was 19 3/4 inches when he was born, and now he is 23 1/4. Right now we are working on doing baby push-ups for tummy time, which he hates! His head and neck control are perfect, so I am thinking about getting a bumbo seat here pretty soon! I will definitely get one by Christmas! I am excited to see him roll over for the first time, and to see his reaction when he does it! He coos away and smiles everyday!! My perfect little baby boy!

~08/11/08~

Baby Chathum was born!!! 8 lb 11 oz at 3:33 pm. I went to the doctor that morning and it turns out that I developed preeclampsia sometime between last week's appointment and then. My doc came in and said she would like to go ahead and deliver (my C section was scheduled for 8/19) and it would probably be around 4 that afternoon. I was a little nervous but definitely excited!! No complications until AFTER he was born! He was perfect, but my blood pressure just kept getting higher, so it took almost a whole week in the hospital to get it regulated. That part was not fun, but every ache and pain and complaint was worth my little angel!!
