My mood while writing this blog: fine |
So I REALLY need to "man up" and get Chathum into his own bed. Last night was a NIGHT for sure - he rolled everywhere, kept waking up, kicking the blanket off, trying to crawl, making all sorts of sounds, crying- he did everything but sleep! I am so tired today. I really think he would sleep better in his own bed, but he hates the crib!! He gets so worked up in there that he ends up almost hurting himself by falling through the slats, then falling backwards while his arm is through the crib. I am too scared he will get hurt if he gets too upset. The plan is to get the pack n play tonight from Chrissi, and start trying to get him to sleep in there. It's not my ideal plan, as that's supposed to be what the crib is for, but I've got to start somewhere! He can't sleep with me forever, LOL. We both need our rest, and franky it's starting to get old to not have a solid night of sleep. I haven't slept all night in over a YEAR!!!! Pregnancy started this, and now I've been the one to have Chathum at night, every night, for his entire life. 311 straight days of not sleeping through the night. It's about time he sleeps through the night, you think? So I need to just get some nerves of steel and learn how to just grit my teeth and get through the next week or so of Chathum freaking out because he has to sleep by himself. I am sure he will be okay, and at least I have the 'comfort' of knowing the pack n play has mesh sides, so he can't hurt himself in there. Okay, so it's less likely he'll hurt himself in there - we are talking about MY SON, after all, LOL. I just hope he picks it up quick so we can both get a good night's sleep.

Thursday, 18 Jun I hope it goes ok for you! I'm sure he will catch on quick. I found it easier once Parker was older, he understands better. Now, I just go in and tell him its night night, give him his hug and he lays down on his own. You know I'm always here if you need to vent....or cry! lol
