~07/23/09~ My little baby boy is now a big boy!! He is officially walking!!!! Last night he would toddle back and forth between Chat and myself with coaxing, but today he was all over the living room walking from here to there all on his own, with no encouragement or coaxing. He's so big now!!! AND he has FINALLY learned to clap, hurray! Yesterday he would clap a time or two with my help, but today, he would clap when we clapped and say YAY, LOL!! TOO CUTE!!! Last but not least, today he climbed on the couch all by himself for the first time!!!! How'd he grow up so fast?! My sweet little big boy. I love him so much!
~07/12/09~ Chathum is officially 11 months as of the 11th, so less than ONE MONTH til his first birthday!!! Bitter sweet! I am thrilled with his first year of life, but every mom is sad to see her baby become a big boy. He'll never be a baby again. But he'll always be my baby, LOL. He's still taking steps on his own, but not 'walking' yet. I'll be fine with him taking his time on that, because once he walks on his own, it's going to be impossible to keep him still, LOL!! He'll want to be all over the place even more than he is now, if that's even possible. He's such a sweet heart. I am going to take the leap on the 15th this month and start making him sleep in his crib or pack n play. He slept in his bassinet for the first few weeks, but ever since has been sleeping in the bed with me!! It's really time to get him sleeping on his own. He'll sleep better, I'll sleep better, and well - he can't sleep with me forever. Soon I'll be starting him on some cow milk to see how he does with that. He has been drinking cold breastmilk and some formula for some time now, so that won't be a problem as far as the cold part goes. I just want to make sure he still gets plenty of nutrients. I am going to buy Meijer's milk so it's hormone free. Time to start thinking of what we will get Chathum for his big day!!
~SEPTEMBER 2009~ We will begin TTC! Possibly even as early as late August. We'll see! Chat will land a good job, I have faith! I hope his job has better prices than mine on health insurance, so it will actually be affordable and we can have insurance on our family. Then baby making will be much less stressful because THIS time around, because I know our bills will be covered!! I am so excited for September so we can see about making a sibling for our precious little baby boy.
~06/25/09~ Chathum got into standing position on his own last week on Wednesday for the first time! It was SO CUTE! He was playing with the twins and I guess he just wanted to catch up with them, so up he stood from the grass at City County Park, and it took me a second to realize, HEY - he just stood up by himself!!! He's been standing without holding anything for awhile, but that was the first time he actually got into a standing position without pulling up!! And Tuesday he took his first STEP!!!!! Chat told me he took ONE step on his own while I was at work, and as he was telling me this, Chathum was standing and then he took a step!!!!!! It's like he was showing off so I wouldn't feel bad that I missed it!!! My boy is getting to be so big now!!!!!!!!
~06/16/09 ~ Chathum is just the best little guy ever. I love him to pieces. He's so sweet and funny! And also very curious and smart! And my little guy is just 100% BOY. He loves to get dirty or splash in a puddle, climb all over everyone and everything. He falls down and hops right back up. He isn't afraid of anything, loves dogs and cats, and is always ready to eat! He is also very stubborn! He loves getting his way, LOL! ~ He's all over the place; pretty soon I think he will be walking. He stands all the time on his own, so it's just a matter of time before he takes those first steps. He loves going to the park or riding in his little car around the neighborhood! He just "drives", LOL. He's less than 2 months from his first birthday, and it's a little bittersweet I suppose. I am beyond proud of him, and think he's just a smart little man and he's so cute! But, he'll become my big boy now rather than my baby boy. Already time has gone by too fast! In no time his first year has passed me by, just that quick. I'll never get that time back. It's a little heartbreaking that he won't always stay small so I can cuddle him and pick him up and carry him around! So I know that every little baby smile, giggle, and little milestone - I need to take every one of those moments to heart and cherish them as much as I can, because before long, those days will be a memory and he'll be driving and bringing girls home and getting into all sorts of troubles! Right now I just want to focus on my little man being my little baby, LOL, and just love every minute of it. It's so cute to see him point at everything, hear him 'talk' in his own baby language, and watch him learn new things. Today I was talking to him on my lunch break over the phone, and he decided I should go for a ride in his little car garage - he took the phone from Chat and put it down the ramp! LOL!! Little stinkpot!! He's such a happy baby. I am so blessed with my little Chathum. I am so thankful!!!
