I tried to give emma eggs and she hated them!! She won't eat them. She'll taste it then make a face and spit it out adn turn her head!! Now I bet if I put some salt and pepper on there she would love it!! LOL

I FEEL YA!!!! Tiernan turned one last week and I was so scared. But all of his brothers and sister did just fine on those foods so I gave it a whirl. The ONLY thing I WILL NOT give him until he is AT LEAST a year and a half OR MORE is honey!!! And even though I have given him a piece of PB&J sandwhich I am trying to avoid anything peanuty for a few more months. GOOD LUCK HUN!!! I know it's scary! Maybe because of the allergies with the other family members you could ring the Dr. and see what they have to say. GL AGAIN! :)

Known common allergy foods are scary to try for the first time! I tried a couple of foods with my son like eggs, kiwi and peanut butter while in the parking lot of the childrens hospital! Just in case!! He had no reaction to those things, so fingers crossed we will avoid food allergies!

So Chathum's first birthday has come and gone, and I have yet to try those 'no no' foods with him yet! Fish/seafood, peanut butter/nuts, eggs and mushrooms I have for sure not given him yet. I am scared too! My brother has severe allergies to certain foods, including all 4 of the above. There is also a nephew on Chat's side that is allergic to all nuts. So I don't know how I feel about letting Chathum try these foods. It's scary to think about letting him try them and then what if he IS allergic and something happens?! I know we can give him some Children's benadryl but of course in my mind I think, what if it's not enough and he needs like that epi-pen or something? Eek. I know I am just going to have to suck it up and let him try the different foods and just see what happens...and the hospital is only a few minutes down the road...it's just scary....*sigh*
