| 24-2-2010 - Decent Week, Irritating Day | My mood while writing this blog:Irritated but it will pass |
Ugh these hormones make for some mood swings, that is for sure. Today’s irritation is brought to you by the annoying klepto who took the stapler off my desk and didn’t return it. It really grates my nerves today! Seriously, there is a stapler right next to the copier for someone to use if they need it and instead they decide to take the one off my desk. A rational person would just find a replacement stapler, but a pregnant person wants to rip the face off whoever would dare touch my stuff and not bother to ask. Well, it can’t all be rainbows and ice cream, can it?
It’s been a decent week. Still no morning sickness here! Feeling good and comfy in my maternity pants. Starting to shop and collect maternity clothes for spring and summer! I love shopping! I need some more shirts for work, and probably another 2 pairs of dress pants and maybe a dress or skirt or two for work. Everything else will be WEEKEND clothes!! YAY! More fun. I am going to have to start looking for some cute flats and some cute wedges, cause standing up in heels hurts my back after like 4 seconds. So for now I will suffer through it, but not much longer! I am going to dig up some cute sandals, since my work is a no-flip flop zone. I will really miss that about my old job! When I was pregnant with Chathum, it was flip flops EVERY DAY!!
Well, work is officially irritating in general today. I am supposed to be getting a new position here pretty soon, but what my idea of ‘pretty soon’ and the company’s idea of ‘pretty soon’ – well, let’s just say we’re not on the same page. I am SO over sitting here in the reception area! I am not a receptionist! GAH! I can’t effectively assist 14 different managers with their projects if I am stuck being interrupted every 13 seconds with some stupid questions like “will you send an email for me” or “do you have a piece of paper” or “which way do I print this letterhead”, as well as answer the phone politely, AS WELL as direct people coming into the office, AS WELL AS GET ALL MY OWN WORK DONE! Oh man, if this doesn’t change soon, I will freak out or walk out, one of the two.
Okay, so as you can see I am in a mood today! I’ve got a meeting in an hour that is going to last pretty much the rest of the afternoon, so I am hoping time goes by quickly. I just want to get home and see my little mama’s boy! I have to say I am loving the switch from daddy’s boy to mama’s boy. I can’t tell you how cute it is to have a toddler clinging to my legs while I am trying to get ready for work or do something in the kitchen! Of course it can be a bit frustrating, but seriously, you just can’t help but love it! He just is so excited to see me when he wakes up. He cries for me if I am in the bathroom or if I shut my bedroom door to change clothes. He is SO excited to see me when I pull in the drive way after work! He takes me coat off of me when I first get through the door and crawls right up in my lap. He clings to me when I am trying to cook or something. He is just all about mommy right now! I am sure it will change in the next few weeks, so I am just going to enjoy it for now!
Next Wednesday is my first OB appointment for this pregnancy!! HURRAY! I feel like I’ve been waiting forever, so I am pretty excited to get in there and get my ultrasound!! I want to see my baby and know everything is okay.
So, I finally told my mom last night, LOL! We were going to keep waiting to tell her, but since she was over at my house I went ahead and did it. We were all sitting in the living room and I said “Chathum, show mamaw where the baby is”. Well, of course he isn’t really paying attention and then he doesn’t realize what I want him to do (we’ve been working with him to get him to point to my belly). I say it like 10 times and finally my mom gets it and she is all “Oh my Gosh!” and screaming, LOL. HA! It was funny. I told my brother too, because a few weeks ago he had a dream that I was being all secretive and told him “don’t tell anyone but I’m having twins”. Well, at that point he didn’t even know I was pregnant so it was fun to tell him last night that he was “half psychic”. I told him I was pretty sure it wasn’t twins, and he got it right away!
