09-4-2008 - 20 wk U/S Hurray!

My mood while writing this blog: sleepy, otherwise chipper

Wow! Yesterday was my 20 week ultrasound!! I already knew the sex from the previous u/s, but there was still so much to see and learn at 20 weeks! Baby Boy's hearbeat is a strong 140. The tech took all his measurements and looked at his organs and spine and limbs and brain and all of that good stuff - everything looks great! Nothing abnormal; he is a healthy little boy! I can't even say how much weight that takes off a mommy's shoulders!! He is measuring exactly with the due date (8/24) and he weighs 13 oz. right now. He was moving ALL OVER the place in there! I couldn't feel him moving any, so maybe what I feel when I DO feel it is when he is doing flips or turning? Anyhow, the tech laughed when measuring his head because I wanted to know if it looked big or not, lol. He has his daddy's ears and lips, and I am thinking he is going to have his nose, but I didn't get a clear look at it in 3D. The tip of his nose looks like mine though :) I hope that he has hair when he is born! I find myself wondering what color his hair will turn out, and what color will his eyes be? :) I am so ready to meet Baby Boy. I wonder if he knows how much I love him already! The best part of the u/s (other than knowing he is healthy and growing on schedule) was seeing our baby smile ~
