| 09-4-2008 - Everyday Preggo | My mood while writing this blog:sleepy, otherwise chipper |
Well, back to the drawing board on sleeping! I had a few weeks where I could actually sleep normally again, but that has since gone out the window. I wake up SO SO many times during the night now, because I am just not comfortable!! It's bad enough I have a hard time getting comfortable to even fall asleep to start with. I feel like I sleep in a little fort of pillows, and I feel somewhat guilty, because not only can my husband not snuggle to me for all of the pillows, we couldn't anyway because I would just have to move after 2 minutes of laying there! I have 2 pillows for my head, one for between my legs, one behind my back, and one under my stomach! AND STILL CAN'T GET COMFORTABLE. It's ridiculous. I toss and turn, trying to find someway that will let me fall asleep. And, as I am sure is true for most every preggo, it is such an ordeal to JUST TURN OVER.~~So, anyhow, yesterday after the ultrasound, I saw my regular doctor. I have gained 2 lbs in the last month (not a lot, but better than nothing!). I am still 1 lb. under my pre-pregnancy weight. (Hyperemesis is not fun, thank GOD I got passed that). My blood pressure is still fantastic. I asked her about this horrendous stomach muscle pain I get right under my ribs, and she said it is most likely just from the muscles stretching to accomodate my insides, since the baby is occupying the bottom portion of my abdomen. Her advice was just to try to sit as much as possible rather than stand, since standing makes it that much worse. The appointment was pretty much non-eventful, but I did mention that the 20 weeks was my last u/s (insurance will only pay for 2 unless more are medically necessary). She mentioned that she might be able to get me one more, if my weight stays low, classifying it as 'low maternal weight gain', around 36 weeks. Woo hoo! ~~
