My mood while writing this blog: Ok |
Well, first of all I want to say that this pregnancy was a HUGE surprise! We have been trying for 4 years. Our daughter is now 7 years old and has despritly wanted a sibiling since she was 3 years old. We where talking about adopting in the next year. But too our surprise one night of going out to celebrate my birthday turned into the best present of all. A new addition to the family. Most people at my work new I was pregnant before I did but never said anything to me. My breast got huge immediatly, and where very sore. I found out I was pregnant when I was 4 1/2 weeks. I was having a lot of cramps but they said it was because my uterus was groing. I started having a huge belly at 7 weeks. I couldnt believe it. With my last pregnancy I didnt show till like 16 weeks. My cramps where pretty much gone by my 7th week. Thank God! I became VERY TIRED and lathargic. The second I would sit I would pass out for hours. I didnt ever have a weekend because I slept through the whole thing! By my 11th week all the triedness subsided. But my severe headaches I've been getting are still happening. My Dr. said I can have excedrin migrine because my migraines are so bad. My pregnancy so far has been ok. Im now 14 weeks as of today and I have been feeling cramps and sharp pains for the past few days. So, I decided I needed to go to the Dr and really find out whats going on. Well after being at the Dr. for 3 hours with taking an ultrasound I found out that I have placenta previa (again!) I had placenta previa with my daughter which put me in the hospital for a few days and in bed rest fir 3 months. Its such a bummer. Its never good to have a high risk pregnancy. But for now I really need to take it easy, with no lifting, no sex, no exercise, no jumping or running, and not standing for too long. Just really taking it easy on the body and relaxing. So hopefully with this one there will be no bleeding and I will not have to go on bed rest. But with placenta previa your chances of being on bed rest is high esspecially if you've been on it before. So for now I hope to make it through the summer with no bedrest so my daughter can at least enjoy her summer. What a way to start off my 2nd trimester. On a positive note..... there is always light at the end of the tunnel. In less than 6 months there will be a new addition to our family and my daughter will be the happiest little girl in the world to finally be a sister. So, despite is little set back Im just hoping for the best! (A healthy baby)
