21-8-2008 - Being Induced!

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

Well I am being induced! Just scheduled it today. So my hubby and I will be going to the hospital next Thursday, August 28th, at 7:30 pm. The Dr. said they will be inserting some kind of cervix softner and then in the morning we will start pitocin. I am really excited and anxious to see our baby girl! This Friday I have another fetal profile scan which I have been having weekly becasue of my high blood pressure (which actually hasnt been high at all lately) and my gestational diabetes. I am really nervous... the whole 9 months you wait for the moment to have the baby but it is really scary!!! It is so close, I hope we will be good parents and know how to take care of her. I know everyone says it comes naturally but I am still so nervous. Tuesday at my appointment I was 75% effaced and the baby is at -1 station which the Dr. said is really good, she is coming down. That was also a really good improvement since last week, I was 50% effaced and she was at -3. Maybe it is the Evening Primose Oil I have been taking. Who knows! He told me to try it, that the midwives recommend it sometimes... so I tried it, cant hurt. Looks like it may be helping though. I just dont get how my cervix is almost 100% effaced basically but not dilated? I dont get it lol. Anyways, good luck to everyone... wish me luck!
