17-12-2008 - 12 week scan news

My mood while writing this blog: estatic

Ok so today i had my 12 week scan :)

Baby looked perfect, all seems well and it even gave us a few waves and a lots of wiggles. It was a nuchal scan so the baby was measured for risk of downs and my risk is seemingly very low which is reassuring although i shall have to wait for a call about it with the blood test results combined with the scan results for better accuracy..but we are hopeful all is fine. All this is a huge relief after my early problems.I never thought id get this far.

Baby is measuring around 80mm which is a good size for dates and it actually makes me a week further along in dates, so my due date is now my wedding anniversary :) which couldnt be a nicer gift..and makes me 13 weeks and 1 day today. So due date is now 23rd june 2009. This good news combined with the lessening of my acute morning sickness has made me a lot calmer and more able to relax and start believing im having another baby...its made it very real.

My 5 month scan is booked for the 5th Feb so its all very exciting.

I shall scan my ultrasound pics and put them up for all to see very soon, so watch this space :) xx
