08-4-2009 - 29 weeks and belly pic

My mood while writing this blog: ok

At last im week 29 and all continues to go well. Had my check up last wednesday and im measuring right for dates, my blood pressures as low as always and my bloods all came back good.No swelling, n signs of glucose OR pre-eclampsia. Have my anti-D injection next week...........lovely!

Have my 29 week bump pic up, dont think im looking much different from week 25! I was expecting to get huge so quick this time but im smaller by a mile than i was at 29 weeks with my 3rd, which will hopefully mean a smaller baby than last time too lol!! The less stitches i end up with this time the better...its only the stitches i dread about childbirth!

Baby's upped his game BIG time with movements, hes moving about so much more.I think my placenta must have moved out the way abit too because i can feel the movements in more places, where as before it was literally only in my sides. He kicks so hard he makes me jump when he starts.My other children find it fascinating and its lovely to see their faces as they watch my belly distort and feel him move. Theyre so excited about meeting him :) Daddy is still fascinated watching baby move and he sits with his head on my tummy talking to him, so he recognizes his voice when hes born. Im so lucky, never thought id have a man as good as my husband and one who takes such an avid interest in all things pregnancy even 4th time round.Im so blessed in him. I cant wait to see him hold his 4th and last (lol) baby.So cute x

Going shopping tonight, so i shall start buying everything i need for my labour bag as im one of these ladies who can go into labour anytime and very quickly! I had my 2nd baby at 30 weeks , so i always use that as my marker to pack my bags ready "just in case". So tonight my trolley will be full of breast pads and maternity towels and all those other dull but essential pieces.

This pregnancy is going so fast! Heightened by the fact that at 29 it will definately be the last time i experience it. It makes me feel kind of sad but im so blessed to have been priviledged to have done this 4 times successfully. Time after this one to put my womb into retirement and take husband off for the SNIP!!! hehe

Looking forward now to my next scan at 32 weeks, cant wait to see my little man again and to hear how big he is. The scan is a weight/growth scan. As i tend to have big babies they like to keep an eye on my babys to see if theyre going to be TOO big for a vaginal delivery as im not the biggest of girls. Im hoping he stays a reasonable size of 9lb or under at birth, cos i really dont want to have to have a c-section based purely on his size. But whatever it takes to get him here safely is what i'll do.

All i need now is a name for the little guy..........we are so stuck for ideas :( Its hard thinking of names first time round, let alone 4th time round....hopefully we will come up with something by the time hes due!! xx
