28-4-2009 - 32 week weight scan findings

My mood while writing this blog: pleased

Yesterday was my 32 week weight scan/placenta function check for bubs. Everything looked great. They also checked my placentas functioning as i had problems with it in a previous pregnancy and it seems everythings working perfectly. Baby greeted us with lots of puckering of his lips and pouting...blowing mummy kisses already :)

Anyway........ with all the measurements they took, theyve estimated babys weight to be at 4lb 8 oz already which is pretty much on target, SLIGHTLY but not scarily over average. At 32 weeks weight should be just over 4lbs, so im very pleased with the findings. He should end up about the same size as my daughter was when she was born, so thats not too frightening (she was 8lb 15oz) she was big but not TOOOOOOOO huge lol. I was expecting his birth weight to be estimated at 9lb and over so im not surprised, as i always have pretty big babies. I wont be pushed into a c-section knowing this latest information, thats for sure, not based purely on size of baby anyway. Emergencys only!

Was so lovely to see him again and i got 3 new scan pics to add to the scan pic album, so that was nice. 8 weeks maximum to go now, more like 6 weeks for me as ive never been over 38 weeks, though theres a first time for everything! Cant wait to meet my little man face to face and for us both to come out the other side healthy and happy.IM VERY NERVOUS THIS TIME..i feel like im pushing my luck i guess, i have 3 healthy kids and feel worried that my luck might just run out. Paranoid yes, but totally normal thought for mummys to be i guess. Roll on 23rd june!
