27-5-2009 - 36 week update!

My mood while writing this blog: excited and stunned

Ive reached 36 weeks...i have just 27 days til my due date WAHOOOOO ...seeing as i usually only go 38 weeks baby could be here in just 2 weeks!!! :)

Had my 36 week antenatal appointment today and all is excellent, baby and i are cooking along perfectly, midwife confirmed what i suspected in that baby bump has well and truly DROPPED...yey to being able to breathe again but BOOOO to needing to pee constantly again lol.

I was also stunned and a little alarmed that at 36 weeks baby is measuring in at 38 weeks...i have big babys but ive never measured ahead of dates before, so either this is a baby elephant and will be 11lb born (god,please no) or hopefully it means i will indeed have another 9lb baby at 38 weeks!!! Either way as long as hes healthy all is good, but id prefer a smaller big baby for my poor pelvic floors sake lol . Im just praying i dont go overdue at this stage because he could end up 12lb ARRGGGHHH too scary to think about!!

Last 3 days ive had LOTS more braxton hicks and lots of period type pains so im hoping that this along with baby dropping and being bigger all means that things are gearing up for the birth soon...wish me luck!
